If BB simply had divorced, he would have still been able to take Juliana to the gym and restaurants. They'd just need to move to a smaller place, not a big deal. I wonder if they were planning to leave the country.

NP. I went to the zoo in may and needed a pre-purchased parking pass, which was checked. Not sure how much has changed since then but the lots were almost full by 9:30. I’m not defending any part of their story but merely stating zoo facts.

Sorry if that same across as rude but I’ve been multiple times in the last couple years and they are certainly not checking timed passes. Also, there is plenty of street parking available so a ticket or pass isn’t fully required to visit the zoo. And on top of it all, there is the metro

OMG. Someone who lives in Herndon and has a foreign au pair with four year old child that are making the long drive in to the city to go to the zoo is absolutely going to buy a parking pass and sign up for the free timed entry tickets to be 100% sure their kid can go to the zoo. They're not just going to say "end, wing it, I'm sure you'll get in, whatevs!". Why is this so difficult for you to understand???

Yes totally makes sense to drive into dc, to the zoo, in the middle of winter and on a school day, when this child was expected to be in class at 9am

This is a heartbreaking crime with details clearly still to emerge but random ppl aren’t starting dishwasher threads to derail this thread (I had mine repaired recently too) and the zoo does require parking passes (for a fee) and timed entry (for free).

Sincerely trying to be objective here but this makes no sense to me. BB already had Ryan incapacitated, but he told AP to go get his (other?) gun from the safe, which she would have access to and be able to open? Why would there be any need for both of them, one of them presumably with little to no firearm experience, to have guns drawn on an already-shot JR?

The story is coo coo for cocoa puffs. An insane amount of lies, starting with the assertion that the AP forgot the kid's lunch, went back to the house, saw a strange car and was so concerned she called the husband, and then because she was scared she took herself and the child INTO THE HOUSE.

I really want to read the transcript of this hearing.

Yes - but you'd have to pay the court reporter for it most likely. A news outlet will get it soon enough I'm sure. It might also be entered into the record of the case and might be available online. I'm gonna go look.

Fairfax recently started recording everything in their courtrooms, but I don't know who is permitted a copy of the recording.

I’m so glad LE has the comms between JR and “the Banfields.” I initially thought it was so weird to have a tryst at 7 am, but my guess is that the communications will say that was the fantasy - that JR comes over right after the husband leaves for work, and finds the wife in the bedroom ready for a tryst.

And poor JR sneaks into the room and instead finds CB dying. I wonder if LE can match up when the communications were sent from the Banfield residence with Christine’s location. Maybe they’ll get lucky and they can prove the communications were being sent to JR from the Banfield home while CB was at work…

The origin of the knife will be really interesting too. Was it from the Banfield’s kitchen? Is it of unknown origin (meaning BB bought it with the intention of saying it belongs to JR)?

As many have stated, yes the zoo does still require timed entry passes to get in. but the buildings don't open until 9, so going that early in the winter means you are wandering around outside without seeing really anything for at least an hour. it just doesn't make sense.

Parking-wise it's relatively easy to find street parking in mt. pleasant, especially in the morning on a weekday when people are leaving for work. I haven't read that much, but did they say anything about planning to park? I'm just not sure why that matters here.

Exactly. BB, with trained firearm experience, recognizes someone as a lethal threat and acts accordingly, but needs assistance from a 23 yo with no firearm experience who has to go retrieve a securely stored weapon to finish the job? Ludicrous.

This is the craziest part of the whole story. BB shoots him and blinds him, but is still alive. Instead of shooting him again or making sure JR is no longer a threat by other means, he instructs the AP to get another gun and to finish the job herself. That is complete nonsense.

I went last month and they are still checking passes. However, the passes are not timed anymore. After you have a pass you can go at anytime that day.
