The constitution’s 22nd amendment states that no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.
Article II states that the President shall hold his office during the term of four years. Given the events of January 6, 2021, do you think Donald Trump will voluntarily relinquish the presidency in January of 2029—as required by the constitution—if he wins the 2024 election? |

HA HA HA HA HAAA

| I don’t understand how he’s running again for 2024 since he already won twice. Isn’t he ineligible? Can someone help me out here? |
| Of course not. He is above the law (in his own mind and the minds of his followers). |
No. |

That's what people said about Virginia if Youngkin wins. It was posted many times on this forum So we will know by 2025.
If elections don't happen that year, then we would need to be on the lookout for what Trump will do in 2028. |
| Trump is not known for recognizing and respecting laws. |
| Trump will turn 82 in 2028. Octogenarian Trump would be even worse than octogenarian Biden. |
If he didn't leave, the whole country would collapse. It can only take so much damage. What's he going to do, put federal troops in Manhattan and make people work? Even right wing billionaires can only muster so many ex special forces guarding them. I predict it would result in a lot of bloodshed. |
| Of course he will, knowing his VP will be president for 8 years. Will enjoy his role as speaker of the house, or Supreme Court justice. |
Everything after this means nothing. Of course not. |
| When people show you who they are, believe them. |
Do you think Trump would cancel the 2028 election, and presumably all future elections? Or would he just run again in 2028 and then refuse to accept the results if he loses? |
He'd certainly try. |
