Get ready to drive to Springfield - Old Keene Mill showed up and showed out at All Star Relays yesterday (though their team tshirts were in questionable taste).
|
| Now you have us wondering what the team t shirts were! |
| someone has to be the sacrificial lamb offered up to D1 every year. Hopefully they can drop down to D2 in 2025 and have fun again |
|
All the way out to Burke even.
Now, what about those t-shirts? Anyone? |
|
I genuinely can't understand why people care so much about what Division their pool is in and why people are so amped about being in Division 1. (And yes I see the snark about how Division 2 is so much more fun so of course some people don't want to lose all the time but I'm guessing if they won in Division 1 it would be a different story.) Can someone explain it to me? I'm being serious. Why is it so important to be in Division 1 to some people?
I think the answer is it's just raw competitiveness? Getting off on being "the best" (in an allegedly for fun summer swim league)? |

I didn't pay attention to their shirts at ASR - they were red??? I remember red. But did not read what they said on them.
I hope that they stand their ground in D1, they are a big team and they work hard. I also know for a fact that they do not want to be in D1 at all. |
| I know their parents don't care - but Overlee, Tuckahoe and Chesterbrook were obnoxious at ASR. As a parent, the behavior of those kids is embarrassing. They were rude and had poor manners. But I guess their coaches and parents are okay with raising and coaching POS kids. |
What did they do? Rude in clerk of course, messy team area? |
| Good for you, OKM swimmers! We enjoyed competing against you this season. I can still hear "O-K-M". Now, what about your ASR shirts? I did not notice. The only 'shirt' I did notice was one team looked like they had black ink sleeve tattoos on one arm. |
What did they do? |
I wish people would stop asking what these 3 teams do. They are obnoxious a-holes from top to bottom. Coaches and parents set a bad precedent It's not new - been going on for years. NVSL is too scared to do anything as well. Grow a set NVSL. |
| I'm an OKM parent. I'm scratching my head at the questionable t-shirts? Cannot imagine what on them was offensive, they definitely weren't. Not looking forward to D1 though. |
We belong to one of these pools and the swim team is awful. They’re basically teaching kids from the youngest ages to be rude and obnoxious. Funny thing is most of these kids will burn out because all the coaches and parents care about is winning now instead of long term development. |
There are 102 teams in NVSL. 99 of them despise (and no Overlee, Chesterbrook, and Tuckahoe none of the 99 are "jealous" of you) 3 of them. |
I wasn’t at ASR this year, but I was there last year and a lot of those parents were just straight up obnoxious when they were in the stands. It’s hard to explain, but imagine a bunch of frat bros just did a bump of coke and are on a major power trip, beating their chests and shouting at their kids to TAKE THE OTHER TEAM DOOOOWWWWNNN!!!!! It was kind of like that. Made me very happy to not be in their division. I genuinely feel bad for the tributes. I’ll be rooting for them though! |
