Tesla now only $23k

For the model 3 after tax breaks. How do the people who overpaid feel?

how much was it before? I still won't get it, though, and we need a new car. I absolutely loath Musk.

Looking at a Hyundai EV.

They were over $40k a little while ago. In certain states, they’re now cheaper than a Camry. This is a whole new ballgame of ev adoption explodes for the middle class.

Just a year ago, we paid $50k. Never anticipate it, especially with new and used cars' rising price.
Oh well. It's life.

I’d pay more than that not to be driving around a douchemobile. I feel sorry for those who bought before Elon became King of the Wankbros.

No one cares about Elon’s politics. You think tons of Hispanics care about the fact that the Goya foods ceo is a maga type?

So many CEO are douche-bags but life goes on. Still no need for that car as I drive too little, but holding on to the stock for awhile.
CA gives you a tax break besides the Fed one. What about DC?

Tesla windows are tinted so the owners can hide their shame lol.

That’s great. I just read there are hardly any cars for sale under $25k. The average price for a new car is $50k. It’s a good move by Tesla but I am concerned about the ecological effects of the batteries.

How many people who can afford/want to drive a tesla actually qualify for the tax breaks though. The limits are too low.

What’s the limit?

I really want an electric vehicle and that’s affordable. I really don’t want to support Elon Musk. I’m in a dilemma.

maximum of $300,000 for a household, $150,000 for an individual or $225,000 for a head of household.

I am never certain, though, if it means AGI or just gross.

We got ours for not much more back in the first round of big tax breaks. It has worked pretty well. There are some irritating things about it but the drive/handling is good and the charging is so well integrated into the car’s design that nothing else compares. If you are running low, it will suggest where you can stop for fastest charge with minimal diversion and will even prime the battery prior to arrival there so you get optimal charge most quickly. It really makes it easy.

I think Musk is awful — but I just don’t think the other EV options are comparable yet.
