We would like to know more about the process and likely time frames. DS has a very good number, so we are hopeful.

Has anyone talked to the school? Any movement yet? We are also hopeful.

We turned down Walls so someone will get our spot.

I know a kid who turned down Walls for private.

I know 2 kids who turned down Walls for JR.

I know at least 4 that are turning down Walls to stay at BASIS. 190 matches offered this year though - so about 50 matches have to turn down their spots before Walls will turn to the waitlist (since they want a class size of 140-45).

I agree walls over-matched, but usually they have a freshman class of 155-160 on count day. So only about 30-35 “nos” before they turn to the waitlist.

Wow, it looks like this year will be even worse for Walls than last year.

In fact, the yield has been going down every year since Walls scrapped the admissions test.

They now accept more kids than you have spots for. This is a recent change. It is not a one for one as it used to be.

What are you babbling about? Seriously you think kids on the waitlist are that much less qualified than those accepted? They all had the same GPA.

I wouldn't expect much movement. They have emphasized not going to the wait list. That's why they admitted more kids.
