Says every parent of a kid who can't juggle at all.

You fall into the moron group.

Kid can't juggle, that is fine. I'm sure she is big and fast and can send it real far though.

Kid juggles fine. Not sure if it's 30 or 100. But it is fine.

So your kid is neither big or fast. Juggling is your solution. I'm sure the juggling can compensate for her lack of athleticism.

You're kid is just "fine" you said it all right there.

It's tough when your DD is small and slow. Hey if juggling helps go for it.

As you say all of this you still readily admit that your kid knows how to juggle. Every parent and player knows that it takes a kid longer to learn to juggle to 20 than it does to juggle to 100. Your kid wasted the most time right up front. I hope she didn't lose to much development time getting all the way to 30.

Who knows. Once kids got to 20 I stopped caring or counting. Better uses for their time and energy. The advice on setting 1000 as a standard someone gave is bad advice. Simple as that.

And so do most people. Nobody said go to 1000. I certainly haven't said that but so hell what if they do? It isn't hurting them or you. Kids who love the ball and are addicted to it will set their own goals for themselves. Hopefully your kid has her own goals but don't crap on what other kids set as their own on their own time.

Someone did but they disappeared so they probably realized their mistake.

My guess is you have been arguing with the same person the whole time. However, he changed his tune so you win. Congratulations with that. Now back to the topic who are the best 08 teams going to be next year?

How so?

Again, her juggling demonstrated commitment to working towards improving a skill or a goal and it demonstrated comfort with the ball.

It may not have created comfort with the ball but it sure as hell demonstrated comfort with the ball. How hard is this to understand?

How so? She was terrible at juggling per the juggling parents. Less than one per second. Above the knee. Terrible. That's the point. Yet she is world class.

What’s wrong with juggling above your knee?

God, some people on this forum are not right in the head.

Nothing at all but it does mean the juggles are slower is all. It is all about control either way. But a person was arguing that a kid couldn't juggle one or two per second and if you are juggling above your knee that is certainly true.

Stop being so defensive.

They've been playing U13 in tournaments too. We will just have to wait and see if playing on a big field a year early will help them in the ECNL next year.

Umm, that wasn't defensive, but you certainly proved my not right in the head point with that comment.

To counter your inane point, it's harder to control a ball from a higher height. I also realize that this discussion is not fact based, so I'll disengage now.

I only talked about the speed, ie, the number of juggles that could be accomplished within a certain time frame depending on whether you are juggling high vs low.

Yes, you are being defensive if you thought I passed judgement regarding either.

You are a bore.

I'll take this as an admission that you actually re-read my PP and now understand that I wasn't making a judgement on any particular style of juggling and that you are being overly defensive.

Point proven! You frequent quite a few threads here don’t you? And wreck them all.
