What a claim? Where are the fact-checkers??
"No Virginia Club has placed more student athletes in to NCAA lacrosse than Top Caliber Lacrosse, since 2018! Overall, we have placed 80 Top Caliber players in college lacrosse, and counting! Will YOU be next!?" |
| VLC your up now |
| Silly post. tC teams play through Senior year and VLC does not several VLC players took an extra fall with TC. Cavalier does the same thing. More than half the college recruits were VLC players. They may only play one event with TC |
Agree completely. Just like when VLC would post commitments of late club transfers they would ALWAYS mention if the player transferred to VLC late (example: https://twitter.com/vlclax/status/1145801433549332491). These other clubs get the kids for one fun tournament and claim them. Joke |
My son was a VLC lifer, and played TC in the fall of his senior year. He had a ball. He identifies with VLC. TC was just for fun. |
Agree and had similar as well. VLC is my sons club, TC was for fun. |
| I’m a VLC parent and see nothing wrong with TC proclaiming what is strictly speaking true. Any family who knows anything about club lacrosse in the DMV will understand that while true, it’s marketing. No kid who can make a VLC or Madlax team will choose TC over those. Though I’ve known quite a few boys who try to do both. |
Playing for two clubs at the same time - how does that work? Did VLC not do anything in the Fall? And what happens in the Fall anyway - a tournament or two? |
VLC does not field teams for seniors. So VLC kids who really want to still play will go to TC or the Cavaliers. They have a blast. |
+1 |
Even at the younger ages, you can play for both as they typically don't attend the same tournaments...my son played for both teams and only missed TC when it conflicted with VLC. |
I get senior VLC players getting in an extra season playing for TC in the fall of senior year. But why would any other kid play for both clubs at the same time? |
Why do players play in showcases and national teams? Why do coaches coach multiple teams (HS, MS, club and rec?) Some kids like to play as lacrosse as much as they can. |
Playing club and rec at the same time is easy. rec doesn’t care if you don’t come to their practice because you have to go to club practice. Hard to imagine one club not caring if you don’t practice with them because you have practice with another club. Playing on national teams and showcases is easy because there is no, or very limited, practice involved. Just difficult to imagine having the time to belong to two clubs, unless they don’t practice much. But maybe that’s the case on high school club teams? |

2025 VLC team make the playoffs in their HoCo league? Looks like Top Caliber plays in a "play in" game today.
