White smoke has been rising from MV’s chimney. A decision has been made |
Nope. They only posted the boys to buy themselves some time. Girls slate still not out despite tryouts starting on Sunday. |
I think U13 coach is misspelled... Trey Messiah who is currently at Valor. Interesting. |
Clearly, this is an amazing choice. The guy has probably never lost a game!!! |
They look like they had a good year. maybe just good players. https://home.gotsoccer.com/(X(1))/rankings/team.aspx?teamid=1545694 crickets on the girls side.. |
Same coaches, results will not change, and now with some McLean players leaving it will probably get worse. FVU Boys 2012 - Record 1-13-1 (14th/15) 2011 - Record 1-12-1 (14th/15) 2010 - Record 7-6-1 (7th/15) 2009 - Record 3-9-2 (12th/15) 2008 - Record 1-11-2 (15th/15) 2006/07 - Record 4-7-3 (12th/15) |
Does this mean Valor is joining FVU? |
What a nightmare for FVU that would be. Valor is a dumpster fire. |
Why would any good former Mclean players leave? To go to VDA or Arlington maybe... try to get in at SYC or NVA, but if they are good they aren't going to Mclean. |
Folks, this is the kiss of death. Strong expectation that there will be upheaval at FVU/BRAVE next year when ECNL takes action (again) for boys poor performance. |
Does anyone know anything about this Valor guy added to the slate? And does this really mean Valor is joining FVU? |
looking at the FVU slate then comparing to MYS where you have Namazi and Harkes. no brainer right? |
I have no idea, but it’s interesting that TM currently coaches U12 Valor pre-ECNL boys and will be the coach for FVU U13 boys next year. Seems like a way to bring the boys from his current team to FVU. That Valor team is good. Given what people have said here, trying to go over to FVU with their current coach is probably a more viable pathway for them than NVA would have been. Loudoun would have passed them over for their own players. |
Apparently he is just inside smoking something and not doing his job, because no girls announcement yet. Maybe, he should take it easy and get back to work… |
