I think she was carrying things to her car after the awards event, saw the guy out there with a gun, took her phone from her car and called 911 while going back into building and closed the door. She had propped the door because she was carrying things to her car. |
Ok thanks for the recap. |

Not to distract, but if she is still on probation for a case from ten years ago, sounds like it was pretty serious.
https://nypost.com/2022/06/04/angeli-gomez-says-she-was-threatened-by-uvalde-texas-cops/amp/ “After she shared her story with reporters, she got the threatening call, dangling charges that could upend her probation related to charges filed more than a decade ago.” |
Not to distract, but here’s why I’m totally siding with the police who were being bullying thugs as children died. |

The police actually have no constitutional duty to protect someone from harm3
https://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/justices-rule-police-do-not-have-a-constitutional-duty-to-protect.html |
| People fulfill all kinds of duties and responsibilities everyday that are non necessarily enumerated in the constitution. Do you only do things for your job if they are mandated by the constitution? |
Then why did they stop parents from running in to the school? Probably they would say to protect them from harm. The mental gymnastics are staggering. |
I think this is not quite right. She was helping another teacher bring food in for a class party. When she saw the car crash, she went back to her room to call 911 to report a car crash. She then saw the guy get out of his car with heavy weaponry, and I think the teacher she was helping took off running. She then kicked the rock out so the door would slam shut and (thinking the door had locked behind her) took shelter under a counter in a classroom and called 911. Her 911 call was dropped and she was too scared to try again. Sounds to me like she did absolutely nothing wrong—of course a door is going to be propped to bring things in the building. |
We need to increase the amount of training that the police get and we need to seriously reform them. The arrogance from this police force, the lying - it’s horrific. |
