Mink and Jawando propose to limit pull over offenses in Moco

The thread didn’t survive the backup so restarting it. I also believe state law would preempt their proposal

Just the type of insanity I'd expect from Mink and Jawando.

God help us. The crime rate is up, schools are out of control, and this is what they choose to focus on?

Will Mink limit MCPD calls to help fix her car?

By how much. So anecdotally you may have heard more because there's been report after report about all these crimes in Moco. I saw another story this week about a carjacking at Wheaton mall but this was two women that jumped another and continued after the cops were there to witness. Was it a true carjacking or was it something else labeled such so harpies can continue with their confirmation bias. I don't want to be pulled over by police and assumed to be a criminal. The police can change their approach and tactics, but alas they don't. That leaves legislators to try to counteract their activities with legislation, even if crappy.

These stupid idiots need to be voted out of office.

Jawando is still throwing a tantrum over that one time he got pulled over.

That was an informative thread, too. They are so extreme. Basically anything goes in Montgomery county. This will become a haven for criminals, carjackings and auto theft.

They were just voted into office. So if that is your plan, you'd better find a different one.

I predict a 2-9 vote for.

I like Mink but not Jawando. I purposefully didn’t vote for Barrie because she aligned herself with Jawando. I’m hoping Mink can separate herself from him.

Nobody thinks pretextural stops make sense.

Mink has referred to police officers as "thugs" and "goons" on her social media. That makes her MORE outspoken against police than even Jawando. I don't see how she can separate herself from him.

Yes, she has, in cases where the police officers - not Montgomery County police officers - were behaving like thugs and goons. Since you are so familiar with her social media, how about finding the specific cases where they were behaving like that, and we can then have a discussion about whether or not you believe this was an appropriate way for police officers to behave.
