I’m not the person you’re replying to, but it seems like the police can’t win. If they put out a press release, stating the work they’re doing, they get criticized. If they stay silent, then they are covering some thing up. Making traffic stops and getting drugs off the street is the police doing their jobs. |
police are just like anyone else. some kick butt and are super proactive and innovative in their job. some do what’s required and no more. some slack. but overall, it is a FAR better department than most in the nation. so when people here complain about them in the aggregate, I really have no use for that. |
That is because you don't care when they abuse people who don't look like you, and then fail to fire those who engage in misconduct. |
I'm a DP. People are quite capable of caring about two things simultaneously. We can see the positives of our local police department while - at the same time - disapprove of inappropriate police behavior. We have a good department, one that has been held to higher standards than most national departments for decades. Are they perfect? Of course not. Nobody is saying that they are. You just aren't going to hear many people decide to hate all police because of the actions of the very few. |
I don't hate all police. I don't worship them either. |
Fantastic. Then we are on the same page. I don't worship them, nor do I hate them all on sight. |
It's pretty obvious that the same person just posts this nonsense endlessly about Moco police. Never has any real substantive arguments; just cries racism at everything. Probably the type who wants to make a living by making posts on twitter about how the world is racist, as opposed to getting an actual job. |
