Are you more, less, or equally as physically attractive as your husband?

The fact that one of us is less physically attractive than the other has caused a rift in our marriage. I am curious to hear from those whose spouse is more or less physically attractive than you, and whether that caused any marital strife.

Not sure but I know I have a much better personality. It's the fact that my husband is an ass that makes our marriage suffer.

I think we used to be equivalent (when I was in my prime). DH is a serious hottie. Now at 38 (almost 39) he is even hotter...so much so we hear about it from everyone. I am now 40...2 kids later...still workout like a maniac, but i don't think I am as attractive as I used to be. I think he is inching away. To me--some men just keep getting hotter and I am married to one of them. We are both very fit---so we are fairly equal---but I think the older we get he will be viewed as more attractive because that is what usu. happens with fit, handsome successful older men...the younger (and older) women love them. Older women...no matter how hot..our society doesn't appreciate as much.

physically attractive to whom?
i don't think i got your question... DH and are are different colors, race, religion what makes us totally different physically but how do you measure how physically attractive someone is?

Now THIS is a fun topic. I'd say we are about the same....but I have a leg up because I'm a woman and a cute woman can get more out of her looks than a cute man, at least until a certain age. DH is cute but I doubt at 35 women are really checking him out much anymore.

Men, they have lower standards on who they check out. I'm a petite, thin blond, age 34, still look pretty young and in a bra, my boobs don't even sag.

DH has an amazing personality though. People are drawn to him, and he's successful in his career and friendships in a way I'll never be.

LOL! Ain't that always that case...

I consider DH and I pretty equal in looks - but he is 18 years older than me, so who knows what I will look like when I reach his age!
Gosh, DH is really fit and slim for his age... sexy too, but at 7 weeks post partum and stitches galore, that does nothing for me right now

We are pretty equivalent, I'd say. We're also very similar in size and build (I'm a particularly tall woman, and we are both slim/fit but not beefy/muscular), which probably works more in his favor; it's a much more rare man who finds a 6' tall woman attractive, even a naturally blond curvy one with big boobs.

I'm curious about the rift: is someone being hit on more than the other and/or responding in ways the other thinks is inappropriate? Or is it insecurity as you both age? Or a belief that the less attractive person could be doing more to keep fit?

Me. I have always been called beautiful and he is "merely" super cute.

He does have really great hair, thick and wavy. Our women friends run their hands through it after a drink or two and our male friends who are going bald make smart-a$$ remarks to him.

Honestly though, I married him because he makes me laugh!

I'd say most people would consider me slightly more attractive than dh, but I don't think it's ever caused any issues between us. Can you tell us more about your issues?

Both kind of plain, in different ways. But I think he's gorgeous and he thinks the same about me. Somehow, though, we produced a couple of model-gorgeous children. Not sure how that happened!

My--he's bald, overweight, and dresses horribly.

I meant to say I'm more attractive--guess I need to go eat something before I try to type.
