What crimes is she guilty of? I don't think she has lost her law license (unlike Lin Wood), will this get her disbarred?

She pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with the performance of election duties. Disbarment is a separate procedure.

Yes, disbarment is separate - but these crimes seem to be clear. FWIW, I know that she has so far escaped disbarment in Texas but I haven't followed the proceedings closely. This is would be a new reason for disbarment, I assume.

I had forgotten about that. It seems she avoided disbarment in Texas after a judge dismissed a complaint because some of the plaintiff’s evidence exhibits were out of order. The Bar can appeal but I can’t see that they have yet. https://abovethelaw.com/uploads/2023/02/Powell.pdf

There are still federal cases, folks, so Powell pleading guilty here and turning state's evidence against the co-conspirators only strengthens Jack Smith's DC case.

Well that would be very unusual given that Smith is not interested in her or her crimes.

She is not getting disbarred. She will be on corporate boards and speaking circuits.

Yes she is. Lin Wood did not escape. She will not either.

In Texas? Lol! Those people think she is a hero. Most of the state including 1/2 of the elected federal officials want to leave the US and form the Republic of Texas. You underestimate the determination and dedication of the right wing in this country.

Yes. And she was in the Oval Office for a lot of the planning meetings. She’s also a co-conspirator in the federal case.

It should - if the Texas bar has any integrity whatsoever.

She plead guilty to felonies. She’s getting disbarred. She will not be on the Board of public ally traded companies. Because felon. Speaker circuit. Maybe? She just agreed to flip on Trump though, so not the MAGA circuit.
