And what do you do? |
I try to do at least two of these things every day: 25 min jog, 20 min bike my kids to school, 45 min round trip walk to work. Sometimes I also do 20 mins of body weight exercise, but that’s not what you asked. I definitely do best with short bursts of varied activity throughout the day rather than one long workout, but that’s about my parenting/work schedule, not my workout ambitions. |
That sounds great. I think the way you're doing it would also help to boost your energy levels throughout the day. One huge workout can leave you exhausted sometimes. |
20 to 40 min walk a day when I feel well enough
|
I play tennis 90 minutes 2-3 times a week, sometimes two full hours. On days I don't play, I do 30 minutes of Peloton plus walk the dog. I would say on average I take 1 day a week off from tennis/Peloton and will just walk or do yoga. |
Is walking considered aerobic? Isn’t that when your heart rate is in fat or cardio burn mode? |
5 mile walk on the treadmill, with speed at 4.3, incline to cover 2000+ vertical feet. Takes about 65 to 70 minutes and I do it 6 days per week.
The rest of the day I am sitting on my butt in front of a computer screen. |
45 minutes to an hour and a half most days. I walk, hike, run or play tennis. |
30-45 min 5 days a week. Cardio is mainly running or Orange Theory. I also do F45 but I don't count that as cardio-more weight training since my HR doesn't get super high in class. I run a few miles after days it's strictly weights.
I walk my dog about a mile each day but I don't count that as cardio either. |
Four days a week I do ~20 minutes of lifting barbells and ~20 minutes of crossfit/HIIT style workouts. I run for 30 minutes once a week. I also try to walk 10,000 steps on weekends and take a walk after work on days I WFH. |
I do my Richard Simmons tape in my VCR every morning while wearing my leotard and shiny spandex leggings underneath it, and then proceed to eat a scoop of cottage cheese with some pineapple. |
My ideal is an hour of cardio a day, if not a little more. |
Right now I’m running twice a week 30-60 min, peloton bike twice a week 30-60 min, and swimming once for 90 min, but that’s a lot for me. I get bored with the same routine so it really fluctuates. In the fall I was running about 3-5 hrs weeks split across 4 days. Other times of year I might only be doing 2-3 higher intensity 30-45min sessions a week and trying to get walks in other days. Rest of the day I sit in my home office |
About 3-4 hours a week of cardio (running, or HIIT class).
I don't really count walking as aerobic for me. It's better than nothing, but it doesn't get my heart rate going. I generally get about 6-8k steps per run, and about 15-20k steps a day total of general walking around at work, home, errands, cleaning, etc. Twice a week I'll lift weights. |
I would beat you prob |
