| I work remotely, and I don't need to dress up. I often wear no makeup and messy hair in pajama pants or casually doing drop off/ pickup. I wonder what does school teachers/staffs/parents think of me? My kids are clean anx dressed well, excep me. |
| They do not give it any thought. Carry on |
| If you don’t care, nobody else does either. |
| I personally would not go out in pajama pants. There are so many soft, stretchy, comfortable athleisure options that there really is no excuse for not being at least clean and casually dressed. |
| No one cares. |
| I tried to avoid pajama pants in case I had a car accident and was stranded wearing those clothes on the side of the road. Now I wouldn't be surprised if people wore them to a funeral. |
Why?? |

The teachers are probably focused on getting the kids into school, keeping the line moving and starting their day.
I personally don’t understand adults who can’t bother to throw on non-PJ pants before leaving the house. There are so many cute joggers and casual pants now that are really comfortable. It really doesn’t take much effort to look somewhat pulled together. |

We only like you and your kids if you bake cookies for the staff cookie exchange.
(Kidding of course, we don’t care as long as you are nice.) |
| Totally don’t care but if you look particularly overwhelmed like you just dragged yourself out of bed, I might feel bad for you or wonder if you were sick. But I say that as someone who often looks just dragged out of bed because I am overwhelmed. |
They are pretty much the same as pj bottoms. |
And yet they look somewhat better. My personal pet peeve is people who leave the house, for any reason, without brushing or taming their hair. Messy “buns” don’t count. Have some self-respect people! It takes 10 seconds to run a brush through and another 10 seconds to swap pj pants for leggings or joggers. |
+1. This is what I do, though I don’t really care what anyone else looks like. And no need to even brush hair now that you can pop on a winter hat! |
Isn’t it weird how our brains work sometimes? I used to work in the ER and watch the rn’s cut the clothes off trauma victims. Made me vow to wear nice underwear all the time. I’ve let go since then. |

I'm sure the teachers don't care. But, there are so many cute looking other options/athleisure wear now. I wouldn't do it on the off chance that you might run into someone from work (maybe they have a kid in the same school) or some random other person who you don't want to see you in your pajamas.
I've been burned before wearing something super unflattering and looking pretty rough on may way to grab something quick from the store/CVS and of course I ran into a work colleague! So embarrassing! It's actually been really fun developing my new WFH/athleisure capsule wardrobe these last few months. Everything is super comfortable and also flattering! It really doesn't take any extra effort to throw these clothes on instead. |
