Keep painting that grass green!

More like "keep polishing that tvrd and it will turn into a gem".

CNU is an accessible public university option - 7,204 applied,72% were accepted of which 24% enrolled. 54 players on the roster - 17 DMV. 10-4 overall, they will probably pair of against dominant Salisbury for conf finals.

Had no idea CNU was such a lax powerhouse. They definitely racked up some wins against very good teams this season.

"CNU is an accessible public university option" -- probably not the dream of most DCUM parents to have their kids go there, though.

I think if you do well at CNU fresh/sophomore year it's pretty easy to transfer to UVA/W&M/Tech/JMU. Not a bad route. Altho only one of those schools has men's lax, if you're still looking to play.

Playing college lax at a reasonably priced state university with less college debt when you leave? That sounds bad??

If you want to go D1 maybe look elsewhere.

I think that VLC had 5 or 6 players on the Amherst roster in 2020 (the last year in which they had a season).

It does to status-obsessed DCUM striver parents. They’d rather their kid went to prison than some shit-tier state university. Yale or jail!

2025 VLC lost another close game this past weekend in HoCo. One goal game, they've had a bunch of close losses, which shows they are in the right division, and they are only a player or two away from being even better.

I never once meant they are the best. However, they are better than a lot of lacrosse teams. Keep it in perspective.

Going to be a much better summer tourney season than last and a bunch of great players are supposedly coming to try out for next years team. There are some really talented players beginning to emerge at other clubs looking for more playing time or to make a club like VLC.

also if my kid went to one of those great D3 schools. I'd be happy as well. It's not only about Division 1, very few get that call.

Strange how this discussion is. VLC has a large number of D1 players. MD, Duke, PSU, MI, Army, etc. 2022 class may have more D3 but they have some D1 and wait to see what 2023 does. Way to early to predict or care what 2025 does

I’ve heard a lot of the strong 2025 boys are headed elsewhere. Fogo is headed to Baltimore to attend Calvert Hall, I imagine FCA would want to scoop him up. Time will tell.

LOL without that fogo winning 90% of the faceoffs they would have been blown out of there every time instead of losing close games. He's carrying the whole team. Even with him winning 90% of the faceoffs, the team struggles to score more than 6 points a game. That's... not a sign of good coaching. God help them if that fogo joins another team next season.

Is it the same guy talking to himself?

Which Nova teams are playing well in HOCO? If they aren’t playing on VLC 2025, who are they playing for?
