Bottom line, SJC is not that good this year.
They will be lucky to beat DeMatha this Spring. They’d get their ass kickef if they played with the big boys in Baltimore.

Speaks should have left for the college ranks after the 2022 season.

Better start bribing Hawks families again to make the commute from Annapolis…

Still odd how some hold SJC to a different standard just because they aren't as good as they were in 2022. No one at SJC is holding them to that standard, and at minimum they are in the conversation for the best DMV team this year. Time will tell how the season plays out, but top 5 or better in the DMV ain't that bad.

Doesn’t SJC have a bunch of Hawks?

I'm an old-timer who started posting on this forum a few years ago.

I can assure you the undefeated Landon teams in the early 2000's and undefeated Georgetown Prep squads in the mid 2000's, are the best teams to ever come out of this area. Those rosters were filled with collegiate ALL AMERICANS - those who made a high impact at the college ranks.

Nope. The Hawks are not the standard. Look at the D1 commits from DMV teams this year compared to the Hawks.

Let me be completely honest with everyone here, and in order for me to do so you need to be honest with yourselves too. It is not 2022 anymore and SJC is not good, Speaks cannot coach and is getting exposed for it right now. He may be a good recruiter but that does not mean he can coach, because of this he cannot beat other teams when he doesn't have twice the talent

Not many high school coaches can recruit or coach, much more do both. Let it go, man.

The guys lists neutral obervations about teams in the area and you harp on SJC. No one said they are "good", he just gave predictions/rankings. The obsession with SJC/Speaks on this forum is so bizarre. It's like SSSA/KJ on the girls high school thread.

I agree 100%. I've never seen any posts on here by parents claiming SJC is 2022 good. It is bizarre and borderline obsessive.

Has STA-Prep game started and if so, please post the score if anyone knows it.

7-2 Prep at half

Final was Prep 12 - STA 6 I think.

Prep jumped to a very quick 4-0 lead. Mid-part of the game was pretty competitive and then Prep scored three or four unanswered to close it out. STA looked gassed at the end.
