I think a staff meeting is more important than a parent meeting. Parents (like whoever drafted that email) do not represent the entire staff. Not one of those issues in the email was actually a staff concern.

I wish we could actually find out what the real concerns are. The email said the teachers perceive his management style as exacerbating their issues. We still have yet to hear what they are.

The email also said “we urge all families to take the principal evaluation survey…it is crucial we express our dissatisfaction with the current leadership.”

Why did the sub think it was appropriate to forward this email on to entire classes???

Also who gave the sub everyone’s email address? Did she use fcps resources to get this email distribution? Parents gave their email addresses to fcps with the trust that our emails were to be used only for school purposes. This is clearly a violation of trust and perhaps even more.

You are 100% correct. It’s my understanding she did indeed use FCPS resources to get access to the parent emails. It is completely inappropriate for an FCPS employee to circulate propaganda against the principal like this.

That has got to be a MAJOR violation of FCPS rules. I'm a little mad that parent emails are now distributed publicly. How is FCPS going to respond to this?

Hopefully by terminating her. I don’t give a damn if there’s a sub shortage - I don’t want her working in the schools. I encourage all of you to please speak with the principal about this.

Youre all crazy…

a) leave the teachers alone. You are grasping at straws and turning this into something that its not. Ridiculous. Just stop. Youre going to argue this cause thats what “you” do, but stop, you look bad. Move on.

B) Amos is probably a good guy, able to be a good principal, but he hasnt earned the respect of the teachers… simple as that. That goes a long way and the parents who comment on here about all the nonsense-you dont understand that and thats ok- but leave the teachers alone. Its awful. I am not saying that means Amos shouldnt be in his position but he NEEDS to do better go fix the the staff climate.

C) This isnt about Jon, stop it. You sound dumb. Navy is a close community, for better or worse, parents and staff alike. Nothing will ever be perfect in any school, but there IS a problem there right now, and it has to do with accepting change, yes; but also current administration isnt doing their part in supporting the issue— denying they exist is not being a leader.

D) stop pulling the race card. Whoever started that, youre the worst kind of person there is. Creating problems that dont belong in the conversation. The issues the emailing parent has, and the issues that the staff have would be had regardless of the Principals ethnicity and race.

Youre stupid.

The end.

Temper tantrum much?

I don’t think your post is winning any supporters. It makes you look incredibly childish and inarticulate. Using words like “stop”, “stupid”, “dumb” make you sound like a 12 year old.

People will feel how they want to feel about the faux email until you lay out FACTS. Until you actually make a legit case and not just vague accusations or feelings, nobody will take up your cause and people will see it however they deem fit.

I’m not the person you responded to, but I am not a fan of certain parents who have an “in” with the teachers acting like no one else can have an opinion on things. Some of us are busy with our own jobs and want to understand what the heck is going on. We shouldn’t have to be parents who volunteer in the school every week to find out. If you have an insight into what is contributing to the poor climate, you’re going to have to get a little more specific if you want parents outside of your little circle on board with you. Vague accusations lead people to make their own conclusions, as you can see here. Saying “we know the teachers, trust us” isn’t going to cut it. If Navy is such a “close community”, stop acting like only certain parents should be in the know. It’s either none of the parents’ business or all of our business.

You don’t recognize that tearing him down without any legitimate facts seems racist? Ok. Good luck with your meeting at Graham Road where you make complete asses of yourselves in front of extremely liberal Dr. Reid.

The end.

Oooo mmm geee! This message is just sooooo groooosssss!

The end.

DP. This response is so immature and ridiculous to the PP. Something must have compelled "the sub" to want to take action. I don't agree with the way she did it and I do like the principal, but one has to wonder why she did that. Unless she is "unhinged" or "bat$h*t" or whatever you want to call her, she must have felt she had a valid reason. Maybe she was compelled by some of the teachers that have announced their departure. Perhaps she worried for the quality of her kids education if all these teachers were leaving. I don't agree with that she did, however, I would like to think that she did it with the best intentions. You all just want to put your head in the sand and keep "lol"ing and insulting people that you disagree with instead of actually listening. The sub and others, on the other hand, have yet to actually articulate what exactly the problem is and maybe it's just an overall mood or whatever, I really have no idea. My point is that everyone should just be more kind to one another because your experience isn't necessarily the same as everyone else's.

Ah, look, the letter writer appears. And it's clear that she doesn't like Amos, loves Jonny boy, and is racist as F.

You do realize that this is a joke because earlier someone actually responded that way to a very rational post?

+1 also, did you notice the deliberate omission of any kind of apostrophe throughout the entire post? Very strange. Almost trying to disguise their writing - the complete opposite of the actual letter writer. Huh.
