HOV lane for pregnant women

Anonymous
If a fetus is considered a human life, then shouldn't pregnant women be able to use the HOV lanes?

HOV laws don't state that the "person" has to exist outside the body, and since pro-birth states have deemed the fetus as a living person, why can't pregnant women use HOV lanes?

Texas:
Fetuses count as a person.
Women don’t.

Funny you should ask.

Here is the response from this REPUBLICAN state legislator:

Do pregnant women have to buy 2 tickets to movies or other admission type places? Can she eat from the kids menu?

Also, pregnant women should claim add’l dependents on their taxes…..AND men should be responsible for child support upon conception.

Don’t stop fighting, ladies!

The unborn would need a social security number. If you can get one, that would be federal acknowledgement of when life begins.

I would demand a SSN for my fetus and run that up the courts

I would love to see more women challenge the idioticy of laws like this by demanding fair treatment for fetus including social security numbers, child support, specific health insurance, life insurance, etc. I'd want to be ordering off the child's menu to feed the fetus.

Really show them how much more this fetus is that just a means to control a woman’s choice to have a baby. People, especially the fathers, in these states need to pay for everything for this child.

The woman who tried this also got a $275.00 ticket. She said she would fight it but she's going to live. Fetus is only considered a life when it comes to abortion!

I suspect that theaters will like this idea
Yes, you may order from kids menu but only for fetus to consume. You must order from regular menu.

They should.
While we are at it, pregnant women AND breastfeeding women should be able to eat from the kids’ menu.
Charging admission would be strange because usually kids 2 and under are free… so….
