gun violence, right winged extremism, polarization, all of this is tied to the recent phenomenon of male inceldom
https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/436476-number-of-americans-not-having-sex-reaches-record-high-report/ Young men are behind women in college attainment, career satisfaction and many fall into video games and drugs. history has shown that a high % of sexless young men in a society will lead to chaos and revolutions common in places like the Middle East and Africa. what is the driver of this phenomenon and how can it be solved? |
| I'd be careful of the correlation/causation differences when associating sexlessness with various societal ills. Like, how much is associated with actual lack of sex, versus how much is associated with lower social status among the sexless guy's male peer group? (Or any number of other confounding variables.) |
| there are already two other threads on this. |

I think it's multi-dimensional, not necessarily "inceldom," and will continue. You have unchecked immigration and free trade that has decimated earnings potential, the decline of male-oriented industries in general, educational environments geared toward areas where women excel, and maybe most importantly, a steep decline in cultural expectations (no judgment), etc.
I must say as an aside, once I started playing FPSs as a late teen my interest in dating and sex pretty much declined by half. Reality is video games, playing them, winning, was and is like a constant low-key high. It may sound weird to say it but it's like a drip in your arm for ten hours, and it's free, without all the annoyances of relationships. For some people I really do believe video games can be addictive and destructive. |
Right. If you can't keep them pregnant and barefoot then let them be whored out to feckless men. Let's start with your daughter(s) because mine has plans to do something meaningful with her life. |

Article which is sited. Seem like people are just jumping to conclusions that fit their world views. Looks like it started in 2012. It is not virgins but no sex in the past year. Both sexes were at roughly at 15% in 2012 male jumped from 15 to 28 and women leveled off with an uptick and another leveling off at 18%. The age group is really large 18-30. After 25 you are not considered young. You are in adulthood. Article also talks about 18-34 living with their parents. 35% of males and 29% of females. That is a scary number. I think something happen to the data here. Maybe the males are defining sex differently vs women ans the increase of people living at home. |
In a country without abortion??? Dream on. |

it’s not virgins. It is not having sex for one year.
Totally different. The study seems pretty crappy. 18-30 year olds is a large group in different stages of life. |
| Vacations in Thailand are in order?! |
It's the rise of social media and gaming. Look at the timeline, it syncs up perfectly. Social media skews your views about attraction and what you "deserve" in a partner (women and men). Gaming distracts from a career and IRL relationships (vast majority men).
This country needs required military or civil service when these kids leave HS. |

Young women who are generally (generally!) less interested in sex than young men now have better things to do than providing it to them whether in forms of early marriage or otherwise.
Men scared by how easy it is to be accused of rape (not defending rapists but definitely false accusations out there) Gender roles and dating rules are confusing/changing and fluid therefore many not playing the game A culture of seclusion over videogames and obscure interests (always was there but I guess there’s an increase of virtual activities so that people don’t have to meet face to face) Promiscuity out of fashion in general, hard to get a sexual partner without committing |
Sure or it could be males think sex is PIV and female think sex is making out. |
There is also a rise in anti-woman media on the Internet. Incels, pickup artists, "men's rights" activists, and the "manosphere" generally has infected the attitudes of a lot of young men. The kind of messaging that encourages boys to give up on and/or hate women. (To your post, it makes them think that the risks of false rape accusations are way more likely that they actually are.) |
