Didn’t even last one hour even with a ten minute break!

No one will care if he gives some telework back. But, he won’t.

They really rolled him on that PCAOB question. How embarrassing.

His answer seemed fine to me. He acknowledged the SEC could subsume the PCAOB if it had the resources, but the current amount wouldn’t be enough.

I don’t blame him for not getting into that level of detail before being pressed. Seems pretty par for the course.

What was the point of that silly kabuki theater? What a waste of time.

For a guy that rich he is a terrible presenter.

You missed the confirmation hearing. He was so pathetic compared to the other 3 up there. Like the Grandpa that sweats cuz he's having a hard time answering "why is the sky blue?"

I saw that one too. The other ones were pretty polished, I agree he seemed confused a lot.

Figurehead. We all know who really runs the place. Hence why the 5 bullets persist when many other agencies no longer require them.

Small update. They have a TW dashboard now and are measuring TW as a percentage of hours worked (excluding RAs and EST). TW for credit hours is also not counted in this measurement.

Is everyone buying souvenirs at the pop‐up right before they leave for greener pastures?

Nope - why spend money on something I’ll throw into a bon fire later.

I assume this isn’t public? Any idea if it’s being done by person, by group, by division etc?

There are suddenly a lot more people teleworking. Not daily or anything but def people doing so 1-2 times per pay period in my group just because.

Is this DOGE's great contribution to the agency? They just just go full wacko and list it by person and make it all public to everyone in agency. Nothing like full transparency!

Right, not public. Not entirely sure supervisors can see it. They are currently monitoring it by division, not sure if it can drill down to the individual level or not. The highest division for TW is doing about 3-4% of total hours TW.

Interesting. Ironic that I might get dinged for doing some work while on vacation since that was obviously telework, though.

I didn't get the sense that they were using it to focus on individuals per se but rather to identify trends and yank divisions/work units back into compliance if they think they are exceeding whatever threshold they have.

3-4% seems very low. Can’t imagine that the highest division clocking in at that level would or should raise eyebrows. That’s around 3 hours per pay period. For contrast, EPA is limiting situational telework to 24 hours in every two consecutive pay periods, which would be 15% (12 hours) for one pay period. I don’t think that this should be the SEC’s approach, since there are obviously downsides to a strict limit, but it seems there is room to go up.
