Hello, Does anyone know when is VA parents orientation for Middle School and High School students?

MCPS has said they're committed to it for the long haul, though. They may revisit if the state ever gets into it. The state may well offer some money to allow other counties' residents to use MCPS's version rather than trying to launch another one.

Orientation is the Thursday morning before school starts. It is the same across the county. I haven’t heard that the VA is doing anything diffferent.

Like MCYO! "Montgomery County Youth Orchestra" became the "Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra" because the state wanted in on a good thing but didn't want to do the heavy lifting.

Why is that MCPS is so secretive about everything now a days? Only communication is PR junk. Nothing useful for parents or students.

Its June. School just got out what a week ago. This is not a big deal. If they offer one they will announce it when they can. VA did a good job this year given it was its first year.

It shows someone completely clueless about what's going on. Each school system did their own virtual. Our school system goes by counties so talking about other counties sharing a virtual program is not even relevant or helpful.
