Know it’s the age-old question, but does anyone here have experience of sleeping together on the first and second date and it working out long-term?
Sure it happens plenty often, but never know how to think about it in the moment when starting to see someone new. |
| 3rd date, ended up married. |
|
OP—make a decision for yourself. There will be posters here who will tell you that it happened on their first date and that they just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. And some will tell you they waited until the 10th date, and they’re also happily married. Or they waited until married.
There’s no number. |
| Slept together on the first date, together for more than 20 years, married for 12. |
| 2nd date. Together 22 years. |
| I would not suggest sleeping with someone within a few dates. It may work out for a very few but not typical. |
Unless you want to have sex - regardless of whether it ends up being long term or not. |
| My wife and I had known each other casually through social events at work for a couple months. We literally had sex BEFORE we even went on a date. She came over to my house and brought some stuff to finish getting ready (it was new years' eve), and we ended up having sex before we even left for dinner. Together 9 years, married 5, every day has been wonderful |
First or third date has led to LTR. Second date sex is always a bust. Lol |

We slept together on first date after finding out that we hd both had crushes on each other for months.
She was only person I slept with before 3 or 4 month mark. Married 15 years. |
| However many dates it takes to consider ourselves exclusive boyfriend/girlfriend. |
| If you had to give advice to your children on dating, I hope you give them better advice than what you say on here. |
Was she clappin that ass like it's 1995 |
I guess their advice would be to put out on the first date because men like fast and easy women. |
Same. Married 6 years. |
