| Considering the general state of the world: how do you see things panning out here over the next decade or so? |
2032 and cloudy with a chance of rain. |

I think another civil war is brewing.
I think it'll be a Red vs. Blue war. |
Honestly trying to be nicer to people and less judgmental. I learned the hard way during the worst of the pandemic that you never know what people are going through. |
That’s great but also try to shape the future through action. Get involved. |

Have you ever seen the movie, The Twelve Monkeys?
like that. |
No one is going to fight to keep the red states. Seriously. And the blue states will not leave the union on principle although they would be much better off if they did. So if the red states want to leave, there will be no war. They will be graciously allowed. |

When is the last time people the common wisdom was about how great the world is right now? Because I'm 50, and my entire life, I've heard people complaining about how things aren't as good as they used to be. Kids aren't as smart or hard working as they used to be. Crime is so bad. The music is terrible. Morals are in decay. Etc. Etc.
My prediction is that, in 10 years, the US will be better than it is today, and people will be complaining about how bad it is and worrying about what it will be like in another 10 years. |
I'm so old, I remember when the Japanese were going to be our overlords. Remember the movie, "Gung Ho?" |
I remember when it was the Communist Russians. |
But that racist movie kind of turned out to be right... |
The Russian invasion of Ukraine prompted me to watch "Red Dawn" with my teenage kids. It's worse than I remembered. The dad is all like, "I was an abusive father to prepare you for just this situation. AVENGE ME!" |
