I've been to a celebration of life instead of a funeral. I prefer the idea and hope my kids will do that.

I know what a celebration of life is. Just had one for my mom but I wouldn't say we celebrated with her. It's an odd way to phrase it.

But everyone was stalled due to the request for proof of life. So this gets this moving. The question is really do they have the body still. And will they risk it containing evidence or the location containing evidence. My gut is they never hear from these kidnappers again.

They would leave her where she can't be found. I believe his is what has happened. I think she died when whomever broke in or entered her house early that morning.

I saw some former fbi agent or something saying that the blood droplets on the steps were actually a good sign. The pattern indicates she was upright, so likely alive and walking. It also wasn’t a lot of blood so not likely any major injury at that point. He said that amount of blood could happen very easily on someone that age with a minor skin tear.

Lots of 80 somethings are also on blood thinners, so even more likely that a minor injury is going to cause bleeding.

They aren't going to drop the official news of her death in this video, hence the cryptic language.

I think these are either mentally ill people or they are from a different country where this is more common. They are probably still feeling quite powerful having someone famous speaking to them through media.

It's all quite horrifying. I think if I were famous, after this ordeal which nobody could have predicted, I'd see if my elderly parents would be willing to do a name change and I'd wipe any info off the internet.

I Would pay to have my mother’s body returned. Give her a Christian burial next to my father in our family plot. I could not bear the thought of my mother’s body missing. I get where they are coming from.

They didn't pay earlier because there were multiple requests for ransom and no one knew which one was valid. Plus, it sounds like they were communication issues. Hence, they needed proof from at least one of these purported kidnappers that they indeed had the mother and she was alive.

Now, it feels like things have changed and someone has somehow substantiated that they have had the mother and she may be deceased.
