It's a lot but you need to stand up to a bully.

Don't like this.

It’s a bit much but directed toward two guys who are toxic sexists and at least one of whom is racist? Eh.

I don’t either— comes across angry and bitter. Just my opinion.

Poor guy can’t leave NC, or the women in his state lose their reproductive rights. He did the right thing.

Either that or he doesn’t want to be on a losing ticket.

He’s showing he can fulfill the attack dog part of the job. Not really my speed either. I’d prefer he stick with “weird” and that special brand of Minnesota nice.

I can't say I don't appreciate the aggressive push back to the threat of trump and Vance, but I am from the east coast. If this works for the swing states then yes. He seems to know how to win in the blue wall states if that includes Minnesota and that is critical. I would defer to his judgement about how to deal trump and Vance in those mid west states that Harris needs to win.

Cooper was reported to be in the top 3 and then after he removed his name from consideration yesterday, it turned out he never even submitted to vetting. I don’t know why it’s worth announcing he didn’t want to be considered when he was a week in without any vetting. Everyone thinks he’s being high minded about not letting his crazy lieutenant governor run the show but my theory is that Cooper has skeletons that would come out in the vetting process.

I also think something was up with this. Didn’t feel like submitting the paperwork, what?

A VP candidate who can’t leave his state to campaign or attend the convention is not a good VP candidate. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

+1 Cooper wasn't my preferred VP pick, but this feels like an act of service to the state of North Carolina and I thank him for it.

Isn’t he out in a few months anyway? I hope it’s just an act of service but he does seem like the type to have a mistress or two stashed somewhere.

He literally cannot leave the state without the deranged LT Gov installing crazy and weird laws.

So who are we rooting for today?

I am still team Walz but I could be swayed to Shapiro or Kelly

Cooper is 67. It’s not like he has a shot at the presidency. VP would be a fantastic opportunity for him. I’m the PP who posted about my skeletons in the closet theory. I don’t care if he does, so I’m not trying to tear him apart. I’m just hoping the VP choice is fully vetted so there is no scandalous history to defend. That is always the risk in choosing a man.

I feel like that would have been discovered if that were the case
