Keep dropping out of consideration, looks like only Walz and Buttigieg are willing to go along for the ride.

Beshear and Shapiro seem plenty willing.

You guys really don't understand politics do you.... If you know you are not going to get the nod you gracefully drop out so your people aren't mad when you aren't the one picked. This is pretty basic politics 101.

Cooper was reported to be in the top 3 and then after he removed his name from consideration yesterday, it turned out he never even submitted to vetting. I don’t know why it’s worth announcing he didn’t want to be considered when he was a week in without any vetting. Everyone thinks he’s being high minded about not letting his crazy lieutenant governor run the show but my theory is that Cooper has skeletons that would come out in the vetting process.

I also think something was up with this. Didn’t feel like submitting the paperwork, what?

Per CNN, Tim Walz at a Harris event last night, demonstrating his ability to combine idealism with straight-out pitbull:

“How often in a hundred days do you get to change the trajectory of the world? How often in a hundred days do you get to do something that’s going to impact generations to come?” Walz asked. “And how often in the world do you make that bastard wake up afterwards and know that a Black woman kicked his a**, sent him on the road?”

Yeah who not say earlier he was out.
He was told he was out.
But bonus it's not a bad thing for him or NC.

A VP candidate who can’t leave his state to campaign or attend the convention is not a good VP candidate. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Poor guy can’t leave NC, or the women in his state lose their reproductive rights. He did the right thing.

That says SO MUCH about the state of the GOP. I’m headed to NC this weekend for a wedding but knocking doors the morning off. Not gonna miss any opportunity to keep Mark Robinson from getting power.

Thank you for this!

Yes, thank you! Robinson should never ever be in any position of power.

Then why allow your name to be floated for a while?

Looking at the legalities. Decided it was too much a risk. Why are you so invested in the storyline that Cooper didn't want this?

Np here. He already knew the legalities. Getting names out was beneficial to him as well as getting the public opinion to favor Harris. That's it

+1 Cooper wasn't my preferred VP pick, but this feels like an act of service to the state of North Carolina and I thank him for it.

Which is great! I love the Veep stakes. And he'll be a great senator in 2026. Benefits all around except for those who want Trump.
