Anyone going back to double masks or KN95s bc of Delta?

Anonymous
No, because I’m vaccinated and double wrapping it doesn’t work.

Honestly, if this is the way we will live forever, wonder why i even got vaccinated?

Go back to your bunker.

Meant to write “indoor”

I'm sticking with a kn95 or kf94 mask for shared indoor spaces. They're not hard to get or wear, so it's no big deal. The ounce of prevention is cheap and easy. I don't need to even worry about whether its overkill. Its easy, painless overkill. People who become enraged about other people's continued mask wearing are weird.

The U.K. has used a combination of Pfizer, Moderna, and AZ. Most people I know actually got the “posh vaccines”…I got the AZ one though.

They have not yet released any stats on which vax the people landing in hospital got. I suspect it’s AZ.

We are scheduled to travel in 2 weeks and the delta variant is making me more nervous for going out to a lot of public places at our destination. I don't really want to go back to N95s though

We are fully vaxed with Moderna, but I didn't have any reaction or feel run down after the 2nd shot, so I have this lingering fear my body didn't mount a good immune response. I know that is unlikely and they have said there isn't a correlation, but I can't shake it.

My dad was hospitalized with severe pancreatitus caused by COVID (and a fairly moderate case of COVID at that). I really want to avoid the havoc it is causing in a lot of people's bodies.

The safest option would be a shutdown to flatten the curve. Just two weeks.

Nah, we’re not going back to that. People won’t do it again, especially since we already have vaccines so there’s nothing else to wait for. Most people are not willing to go into indefinite covid purgatory.

It’ll be flatten the curve all over again.

Totally agree. But let's await guidance from the CDC and Fauci. Other option are boosters ASAP

People here are double masking and meanwhile there was a 20,000 attendee concert at Madison Square Garden this weekend.

Delta is only a problem if you are unvaccinated or have a severe anxiety disorder.

The data is here. Both pfizer and AZ are highly effective against hospitalization:

This anti vaccine nonsense is irritating.

“ The analysis suggests:

the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is 96% effective against hospitalisation after 2 doses
the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is 92% effective against hospitalisation after 2 doses
These are comparable with vaccine effectiveness against hospitalisation from the Alpha variant.”

Or don't like getting colds. It's more transmissible yes. Show me
links it's more serious. This is all speculation.
