Like NASA, he had a number of missions heading that way. Penalty was either Apollo 3 or 4. Their play in the final third, especially from their front line, was absolutely disgraceful. And of course both the fans and Coach (not starting him) did exactly what you cannot do with a player like Morata if you want him to produce his best. The better team won. Spain has been smug for far too long. Maybe this will shake things up a bit there. |

No, witzel and meunièr let Italy run rampant on a weaker and older Belgian back line and de Bruyne lost his head in the second half of the game and set a very poor mental tone for his team. No, I must agree with the PP - it is about talent (and let’s call coaching “selection” at this level with national teams), but after that, it is a about manhood and unity. What we used to call esprit de corps, which is tres ironique given what happened to Les Bleus. |

Nobody epitomized the absence of purpose and manhood on the Spanish side more than Ferran Torres. Count the number of times he could not retain his balance when challenged, moved slowly to take a pass and lost the ball, rushed passes, or did not take one extra step for a better and bolder shot. Hence why you’re illiterate. Italy got lucky Spain lost In penalties. They dominated the game and every aspect of it. They simply lacked a natural clinical finisher. Nothing more nothing less. I’m still putting a $250 bet on Italy because quite frankly the English pirates aren’t winning it despite the clear assistance they’ve been granted at “home” thus far. |

That’s too bad as there is a boatload of talent there. Maybe Zidane will get fed up with Real and coach the French instead. Of course, he couldn’t get along with Bale ... so not sure he could tame those egos either. |
