Who do you think will win? England, France and Belgium are the favorites, I expect they will all do well. But I think France

Having watched Scotland recently they are my underdog bet to go quite far in the competition, maybe even semi-finals.

England isn't close to being a favorite...they're second tier in this tournament.
France and Belgium are the clear favorites.
England, Italy and Portugal a big step behind.
Netherlands has the talent, and can be a threat if they put things together.

It is a home tournament for England, and they are either favorite or second favorite in the betting.

Netherlands are dreadful

England is second after France to win the tournament. Then Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Netherlands in that order.

How can you say Portugal is a big step behind Belgium? As much talent as any club in the tourney other than France. Dias, Cancelo, Fernandes, B Silva, Felix, Jota, Ronaldo? You can say Ronaldo is old, but Belgium as an entire team is not young.

Agree, Portugal clearly has a more talented squad...their draw, though, could leave them on the outside looking in.

True. But heck - bring it on! If you want to win the Euro, you can't avoid any team -- força Portugal!

Italy looked good today. Not sure Turkey was playing their best game, but were never in it either. Looking forward to their next matchup vs. Switzerland. That will be more of a test, but I will take Italy over them in a close one.

Denmark-Finland should have been rescheduled. I know Denmark requested to continue but after what they witnessed there is no way they were thinking straight. And the camera operators should be severely reprimanded for those close-ups; yes, the player was eventually revived but they didn't know that would be the outcome.

My prayers go out to Christian Ericksen and his family. The utmost thanks to the medical personnel that brought him back. No matter your club or country allegiance, no person should die on the pitch. He is a great player and father. So grateful to God that he is alive.

Does anyone think Spain will score in this is tourney? I have my doubts. They are the definition of low risk and low reward.

The disallowed goal that Mbappe scored was a thing of beauty. He is the difference. If he stays healthy I think France wins. If not, then England.

They lack a clinical and killer type of finisher.

You give them that and they immediately become top 3 contender

Your wife’s melons are also a beauty

Random, but funny. And, yes ... yes they are.

Yeah, it sure is ugly but worked against Germany. Grieszman is the most important player up front before they get the lead and Kante generally the most important. After the lead, kick. Run. Repeat.

Really looking forward to this long-awaited tournament!

Northern Europeans all the way.

England
Netherlands
Belgium

Portugal does have a ton of young talent so it is hard to disagree there. France has more but whether they coalesce is always la question.

Netherlands are horrible right now.
Belgium is missing KDB.
Maybe England, but not sold on their defense.
Would like to see Portugal again. They have an even better team than they had in last Euros.

How much longer is KDB out? One of my faves. I’m going with France.

Last I heard he might be able to play after the group stage.

KDB back with a vengeance - awesome second half for Belgium today! Happy to see him back on the pitch - classy that he didn't celebrate his winning goal out of respect to Denmark.

Is it just me, or is Taylor Twellman really annoying?

Agreed. I loved Erikson at Tottenham and never understood why he wanted to leave. I read the rumours about his girlfriend and Vertongen but I think the issue was more likely Vertongen acted like a bully. I noticed in the Amazon show about the team, JV seemed to go out of his way to bully players he didn't think were manly enough. Gross JV. I'm glad he's gone.

Ericksen left, because he wasn't rated by Mourinho. Jose thought Ericksen was too inconsistent and would not defend the way he needed him to. He just wasn't the right player for the system.
