Here's my question - is J.Lo really still Jenny from the block? Is she still friends with the people she grew up with? Does she still go back and give back to her old neighborhood?

My husband and Jennifer Garner have a lot of mutual friends, having grown up in the same town, and they have nothing but good things to say about her, and she gives back a lot to West Virginia. She may not make the wisest romantic choices, but mutual friends say she's still the same kid they grew up with and has done a lot for the community. I appreciate that. I would love for someone to tell me the same thing about J.Lo.

Jennifer garner and Ben stated dating in like 2004, right? What did she see in him? She was a rising star herself and traded up from her b/d list (though HOT) boyfriends/husbands (Michael Vartan, Scott Foley) to a hot, wealthy, powerful Oscar winning A- list celebrity. He had also dated very famous women like JLO and Gwyneth Paltrow, and by some complex I’m sure this put Jennifer in that camp.

On top of that, Ben was probably more open to settling down than he was at any previous point. Jennifer Garner was in her 30s, wanted a family and marriage, and Ben Affleck showed up ready for that. It’s pretty obvious why it was easy to fall in love with 2000s Ben affleck and why it was no an opportunity that would have been easy to pass up.

They only got married because she was pregnant. You can clearly see her bump in the wedding pics. Surprised she stayed as long as she did. I don’t think kid #3 was planned either.

Yes, she was pregnant at their wedding. It was a very small wedding on a beach with victor Garber (who played her dad on Alias) officiating.

Did they probably rush into it because of the pregnancy? Yes. But they has been together for a little while. And I believe he actually wanted to get married and be a family man. He seemed to be trying to be that for a while.

I do think the son might have been an attempt to make it work.

I am not going to throw stones. My husband and I came very close to divorce right before I got pregnant with our second daughter. She was not conceived as an attempt to save the marriage, though. And things have improved since then. You never know what is actually happening behind the scenes.

J lo didn't even go back to film the fiat commercial. Agree, Garner seems like a good person.

Unrelated but didn’t Ted Casablanca’s also claim Jake gylenhaal was secretly married to a man (another less famous actor) and they had secret kids together? I can believe Jake is in the closet but not that he could keep a child hidden completely for this long.
