So, you revived this thread, which is 3 years old, to post this nonsense? Who is "She"? I assume "She" is "Cooper"? Who the hell is Cooper? Because you are quoting her on something she clearly knows little to nothing about. No one who understands "etiquette" (all caps, lol) well would give blanket price ranges for this; they would fully understand that it depends on culture as well as relationship. Culture of family, culture of community, etc. This has got to be ancient advice anyway (in addition to just being wrong) given how outrageously low those amounts are.
