What school? Ugh how irritating. I also voted for him not knowing his position on all this. Not again. |
wow, really??? wow. Charles Allen at least pretty quickly came around to supporting reopening (once Capitol Hill public opinion started to shift, lol). |
I voted for her, too. I did have my reservations about her, and I am not at all surprised of her position on this. Unfortunately, I just didn't feel as though Brandon Todd was effective either, and my other big issue was the gun violence. I'm not sure I buy into her proposed solutions for this but I know that whatever Brandon Todd was doing was not working. |
This is not true. We attend the school, I believe his kids grade. I also turned down a spot. I believe anyone that wants a spot in that grade can have one. |

1. It's all true. Stop lying to protect him. 2. There are students at this school who want spots but weren't offered them. I didn't say "his child's grade" but you knew that. 3. There are two entire grades at his school currently with no in person learning or CARE classrooms. Just nothing in person for these kids until they hopefully open spots in term 4. 4. There are grades that offer in-person but not everyone who wanted a spot was offered one. |
There are classes that don’t have in person because there are no teachers to cover them, not lack of space. Are you seriously implying it’s because White that there are some classes without IPL? 🙄 |
Gun violence has increased under Janeese Lewis George, especially with her working to keep schools closed. She's another Brianne Nadeau with pie in the sky ideas but no detailed strategy for improvement. Everything she's done thus far has either been a non-solution or a plan to make things worse, and constituent services have dropped off too. |
You continue to make false allegations regarding what I said. I never said that it's Robert White's fault that there are some classes without IPL. I merely corrected your false statement: "I believe anyone that wants a spot in that grade can have one (an in person spot)." You clearly stated that anyone who wants an in person spot could have one at his school, and that's not true. I'm beginning to wonder if you're Robert White or his wife. He's certainly petty enough to come on this forum and make up lies to defend himself. |
Your quote of my quote is still accurate. In MY child’s grade, anyone that wanted a spot got one. |
Janeese Lewis George is totally clueless and that's why I didn't vote for her. She is nothing but a pie in the sky social justice warrior who has no concept of how her policies affect real people. I'd like her to talk to some DCPS students about how they feel about having the last year stolen from them by the corrupt and incompetent WTU. Oh wait, she won't because that wouldn't be "equitable". Say what you want about Brandon Todd, but the guy got stuff done and listened to his constituents. |
This is not true at all- there were 10 or 11 spots for PK4 and 25 families said (in the survey sent in November) they wanted a spot so 15 families that wanted spots did not get them (and more might want them now). Shepherd has only one CARES or IPL for each grade (except K might have 2) and none for PK3 and 4th and there is demand beyond the supply at every grade. The principal has not budged in getting more kids back in or giving any information on how kids are selected or doing any sort of hybrid or outdoor learning. |
What grade is your kid in? K? Which is the grade that has IPL and CARES so was able to accommodate more families? That is great for the K parents but doesn't help the other hundreds of families who can't get seats at Shepherd that want them |
Charles Allen has two kids in DCPS and at least one of them is back in person as I see him at drop-off pretty frequently. |
| I am the ghost of Robert White's grandmother's mistress! Boogedy boogedy booo!!!!! |
