ECNL and GA Friendly Scrimmages this weekend

Such classy parents who are nothing more than simple fans of their kids.

Yup . I always wonder why I look on this thread.

I wish my DC's team was allowed to play a 4-4-6 like yours!

It’s experimental. Only done during scrimmages. Only classy teams with classy parents can pull it off

Arlington 05 won 2-0.

BRYC 04 lost to Arlington 04 1-0. Arlington can’t put the ball in the net. They had 80% possession and dozens of chances and couldn’t score.

How amazing!

How are the children holding up after such an epic game?

Clearly BRYC is an amazing club. Congrats! The first game they won since playing unranked teams last March!

I’m sure Arlington will never recover from this stinging and convincing loss. I have to believe the kids are still celebrating this milestone of winning another game in just under a year.

To bad the world will only know about it by coming here.

Ohhhhhhhhh. I don’t care. Just super excited to watch them play. Winning-losing doesn’t matter.

If your child is playing a friendly against a rival club where the parents and players know each other and one team completely destroys the other team....how would you feel?

If my kids team won I’m happy if she played well and that the team played well.

When I talk to the other parents I tell them it was nice to see them again and look forward to seeing them again.

Parents of other kids are not my rival. Other kids are not my rival.

Who said they were rivals? Why do you keep twisting words around for dramatic effect? Very odd behavior. I understand you want to make a point. Try doing so on the facts and not emotion.

What was said was “rival club”. Maybe you were never an athlete, but you do have rivalries in sport. It doesn’t mean you hate other people. Many see it as fun. High school rivalries are the best games.

Are you serious?

“ If your child is playing a friendly against a rival club where the parents and players know each other and one team completely destroys the other team....how would you feel?”

Serious about what? A hypothetical? Yeah. I’m serious. If you kids team get destroyed in a game that doesn’t officially count do you care?

I would be disappointed if my kid didn’t play well and that the team didn’t play well. I would tell the other parents it was nice to see them again and I look forward to seeing them next time.

Again, parents and their kids are not my rival.

Again, twisting words for dramatic effect. Again, no one said the kids or the parents were the rivals. It was said “rival” club.

Thanks for responding for the past two hours tho. It shows how disinterested you are.

All friendlies for tomorrow will be canceled.

Feel free to have the last word.

Cheers

Any scores from today yet?

Yes 3-1

That might've been the final but the team that scored only 1 out-possessed the other team and controlled the game.

They keep score for a reason ...

To determine the winner....

The truth cannot be controversial...

I did not think the 1st and third red cards were legit...sure there was a little blood on her cleat but at this level it is expected.

I was disappointed there was not more scoring. Specially after they added the 3rd ball. I did not like the size 2 ball being worth 2 goals if scored out side the box. That is not soccer in my book!

Anyone reach out to the FCV parents and check on them?

I hear they scrimmaged futsal style on tennis courts, co-Ed with transgender kids too, but only kids over 5’9’’, and no American soccer allowed, only perfectly played Euro-ball.
