Indoor Basketball Rec Leagues not requiring masks during practice and games!!!!

My kids are so excited for basketball season. It feels like forever ago since soccer season ended. They miss regularly scheduled activity with a team.

I have a co-worker in the Midwest who had COVID. The entire family got it - a 10 year old picked it up from youth basketball. They know that was the transmission point as other families on the team also for it.

We are in MoCo and they are already cancelled. No rec basketball at all, masks or no masks.

Fairfax? The topic of this discussion? We had rec little league and soccer in the fall but they have been over since the end of October. Cannot wait for basketball to start up. We were so grateful to our league for getting a season for the kids this fall, what with no school this year and so many kid activities canceled.

Are adult gyms open in MoCo and must the adult wear
masks while working out? That guy who runs your health dept does not give AF about kids.
I couldn’t believe it when I read about the playground fiasco in the summer.

We haven’t heard from our league yet but hopefully they will do the skill evaluations and start practicing soon.

I don’t care either way honestly since our family already had covid but I would like to know so I can order more of the specific mask my kids like for exercise. They are expensive so I don’t want to buy more for nothing.

Agree. I don't want to go to Costco if I don't have to! My kids like those 32 degrees masks best for running around.

Where is the info from Fairfax County that pp said was a done deal?
