Let's be generous and say that there are about 6,000 people in the Poolesville area. If every single one of those 6,000 people is poor and white and voted for Trump, that still leaves a whole lot of Trump voters in this county of 1.1 million people who are not poor white Poolesville residents. And conversely, a lot of Biden voters who are poor. What's your explanation for that? |
The issue is the demographics of poverty and affluence in Montgomery County. You can look up the data yourself, or not, just as you choose. |
This is the stupidest thing I’ve read today. Rich people are the ONLY people who pay taxes. As for the rest of your drivel, you haven’t even come close to accurately describing the 70 million people in this country who subscribe to a different way of thinking from you. Neither of the two sides is right or wrong; they just favor a different approach to governing. Stop with the condescension and ridicule, and maybe we can get some of the problems in our great country resolved. One side can’t do it without the other. |
Huh? Everyone pays taxes. |

So true. I am a Biden supporter and I am still mentally prepared for Trump to win the election. Even a Biden victory is not a comfort for me because it is horrible that so many people are racists and backwards. I have no respect for America left and if I could leave, I would. I am ashamed to be an American, I am ashamed of this country, I am ashamed that this democracy with gerry mandering and electoral college is a joke, I am ashamed how the supreme court seats were filled, I am ashamed that Trump was ever the president, I am ashamed that we don't believe in Science. |
Asian Americans are screwed on both sides. Republicans want to divide and conquer and Democrats only want increased URM representation, so they are trying to choose between the lesser of two evils. Btw, Asian Am. IT workers like the visa restrictions bc they want less of their own coming here and increasing competition for jobs. |
will be as successful as Martin O'Malley 2016. |
By my count, you have about another 194 countries to pick from. |
Please tell me what's wrong with that? |
DP..nothing inherently wrong with it, except if it comes at the expense of excluding others, ie affirmative action. |
So you're fine with increasing representation of under-represented groups, as long as it doesn't decrease representation of over-represented groups? Isn't that mathematically impossible? |
Affirmative action is RACIST. Period. |
LOL someone needs to get woke! 47% of peoiple pay NO TAXES. |
This would be true, if it were 2009, and the only taxes were federal income taxes. However, not only is it 2020, but even in 2009, there were a lot of taxes that weren't federal income taxes. And there still are now. |
