We're not comfortable watching shows with a lot of sex, so how much of that is there in The Crown?

I have zero recollection of there being any, so it must have been fast and very forgettable.

I have a vague sense that it was once implied that Elizabeth gave Philip a BJ (NOT shown) and that Tony Snowdon had a three-way. I can't think of anything else.

Np. Princess Anne and Camilla's husband and Margaret and her first husband but it was long. Certainly not a good reason yo skip a whole show!

Meant was NOT long.

Why can't the PM do the ceremonial stuff in addition to the politics? That's what the POTUS does.

In the show they explained that the monarchy helps to keep a balance with the parliament, but of course many people find it unnecessary and wasteful.

I thought Gillian Anderson and the actress who played Diana were wonderful-- I saw an interview with her and her real voice was totally different. She nailed it.

But overall it was my least favorite season. It made me hate the real family so much. The way they regard Charles' cheating versus Diana's cheating, just so gross. And the way they behaved toward Margaret Thatcher. Ugggh.

I loved that episode right before the wedding.

Google says no.

Google says yes.

One of the show's producers, Oona O'Beirn, told British Vogue's Radhika Seth that the image of Princess Diana roller skating through the palace halls is rooted in history — though she may have actually done so in a more private part of the residence.

"It's true!" O'Beirn told Seth of the roller-skating scene. "[Our research showed that] she also rode her bicycle around [inside the palace] the night before she got married, but we didn't manage to get that in. It's hard to do on some of those carpets."

Seriously? There is zero nudity.

You don’t know them and you didn’t know Diana.

Charles and Camilla have now been married longer than he was married to Diana. Get over it.

In their own ways, they were as trapped as she was.

No mention whatsoever of her mother, and only passing reference to her stepmother. And her “granny” - wasn’t she awful?? No warmth or encouragement at all.

I think Olivia Coleman looks much older than the actor portraying Philip. She almost looks like she could be his mother. They should have kept Claire Foy and just aged her a little. Love Olivia Coleman, but she’s too matronly for this stage.

It’s not The Game of Thrones, but there is definitely nudity and one scene somewhat explicit, but not in season 4. In season 2, there is an episode focused on Margaret and her soon to be husband Tony, not only is there a threesome, but there’s a long scene of Tony and some woman that’s pretty vivid.

Lol the “threesome” scene is three adults laying in a bed talking, with zero nudity.

I seem to recall a steamy scene of Tony and a woman on a staircase...

Except they are living happily together and she died horrifically aged 36 leaving two young sons behind. I think its the reality that people have trouble reconciling, not the actual tv fiction.

There are some very “special” posters here.

True, she died and they are still living - but are you implying that’s somehow their fault? The paparazzi killed her. Period.

Actually the sad truth is her decision not to wear a seatbelt killed her.
