This is it folks. Genetic beauty doesn't compare to any other level of attractiveness. |
No I don’t hate them. As an ugly person I would take above average. They also have to deal with things I’ve never had to like constant attention from the opposite sex and not being taken seriously. |
You’ll never be beautiful if you tell yourself you are not.
Why should anyone think you are beautiful if you don’t. Work on yourself and stop hating on others. |
|
Yeah, she wouldn’t be considered gorgeous by most, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. |
Yes, the Kardashians will never be mistaken for supermodels, even Kendall. |
OP, spend time with people who don't make you feel full of hate. You'll do yourself a favor and those beautiful women a favor. But also get therapy, because my favorite person in the world is a kind, kind woman who is unquestionably beautiful. She makes everyone else feel loved and beautiful, too. I'd hate to think what I would have missed if I had been too envious to see the person behind the facade. (I am not beautiful, by the way.) |
Anyway, OP, our standards of beauty are now so diverse because of so many different cultures. What one culture finds very attractive, another culture finds ugly. I wouldn’t worry about it because anything seems to go anymore. The truly attractive people here are many times not as successful as you probably are, not all beautiful people live wonderful lives. |
I’m beautiful and my life has been far from perfect. I know a lot of less attractive women who have had happier lives than I have. |
To the people on here claiming to be beautiful, how do you know you are beautiful? Beauty can be subjective. |
Lots of "good" plastic surgery is obvious too. There is something wrong with a person who has to change their face, someone who hates how they look probably hates themselves - and no amount of plastic surgery will ever change that. One or two procedures is one thing - but redoing everything? Something is really, really, desperately wrong. For those people, too bad there isn't plastic surgery for their insides. |
What I don't understand are the assumptions to the contrary. Why would anyone assume that they know ho someone's life is, beautiful or not? |
Agreed, but there are certain things that will always be considered objectively more attractive. Symmetry is big. So are certain features (large eyes, high forehead) that are considered beautiful in virtually every culture and ethnicity in the world. But yes, beyond these basics, what makes someone beautiful is often in the eye of the beholder. |
Whole lotta sour grapes in this thread. |
Well, I know some “beautiful” people personally, and their lives aren’t pretty, and they would be the first to admit that. This isn’t all beautiful people obviously, but looks are clearly not everything. |
