Anyone thinking that if the GOP 'crams through" a judge it will be harmful to them is ignorant to American political history.
Please recall that after Obama was elected in '08, Dems were convinced that 'demographics are destiny' and the GOP would be forever punished for the Iraq War and crashing the economy. Instead the Dems were totally blown out in '10 midterms. No matter what Trump does, no matter how poorly the GOP behaves, if, in '22 Biden is the sitting president the Ds will likely be defending against another blow out (Biden will be holding the bag on a Trump/Covid disaster, while the GOP has reconnected with its concerns about the deficits, and the AOC faction is hollering that Biden isn't leftist enough). |
LOL like I will believe any republican on the deficit, supporting the troop, belief in the Constitution, civil liberties, 2nd Amendment(federal troops are disarming people), smaller government(what a joke),etc, etc. This will be like California. |
There was no ‘Biden rule’ to invoke either. And yet McConnell found one in order to appoint Gorsuch. Followed by the confirmation of Kavanaugh who was clearly unfit for the position by temperament, if nothing else. And that was after strongarming Kennedy to resign based on his son’s questionable dealings with Trump at Deutsche Bank. If Democrats win the Presidency, the Senate, and the House, then it’s time for some karma. |
Yeah, so what’s your point? That McConnell will do the right thing? Don’t count on it! |
