There is no McConnell Rule to invoke. The GOP will continue to control the Senate even after the election (if Trump loses), and they will gladly install a Trump pick after that date. Hypocrisy? Yes, of course.  But it will happen, and there is nothing even a victorious Biden or Dens can do. [/quote]
There was no ‘Biden rule’ to invoke either. And yet McConnell found one in order to appoint Gorsuch. Followed by the confirmation of Kavanaugh who was clearly unfit for the position by temperament, if nothing else. And that was after strongarming Kennedy to resign based on his son’s questionable dealings with Trump at Deutsche Bank. If Democrats win the Presidency, the Senate, and the House, then it’s time for some karma. [/quote]
