Yep. Kids can have sports practice, thousands of people can protest, but a few kids can’t play in a fking playground? Screw him. |
I don’t know anyone who voted for him in the first place. |
Well Moco Parks are not giving permits for kids to have sports practice. Not in June and they are saying possibly not all summer. Sports organization are worried if they camp out on fields they won’t get permits in the future. So yes he doesn’t care about the kids. I’m sure there are more instances like this where he is completely non transparent You can get permits for protesting. |
| I'm pretty sure Elrich simply wants to be last to open anything in order to placate the MoCo crowd that's incapable of understanding risk. The stay-at-home order claim goes along with that. He wants to say sweet under one to play to his base, but there are limits to what he can actually get away with. |
Clearly Elrich didn’t read his own executive order! |
He looks like he’s always been the stay-inside-in-the-couch type, so probably doesnt understand the health benefits of outdoor play. |
That's not fair. Didn't you see him outside a restaurant in the picture he posted last week? He's seems to love outdoor play, as long as "play" means eating. And as you noted, that seems to be a long-held favorite pastime of his. |
|
My family needed some new clothes today. Since stupid Elrich is only allowing curbside pickup, which clearly doesn’t work for clothes, we went outside the county.
He truly doesn’t give a sht about the fact that he’s destroying this county’s economy. |
Online shopping has been available this entire time, with many retailers having pretty generous return policies. |
Returns are a PITA for clothes and shoes. You don’t see that? |
Takoma Park and Silver Spring, overwhelmingly. Also Poolesville (for reasons like the Ag Reserve and Ten Mile Creek) The entire 355 corridor went for Blair. |
Elrich has lost 50 lbs. I'm a county govt employee. |
Can you tell him to stop destroying our county’s economy?! |
+1. Over 99,100 residents have filed for unemployment since March. We are a small business owner and struggling. We know many small businesses that will go under. Our - CURRENT stats of the last MONTH as a county Are great. We had a nursing home issue where 64 percent of deaths were nursing home and we are still working through that impact. When will Elrich fully do phase 1. When will he do phase 2 ? Or is the county fine watching the implications to thousands and thousands of at risk people. |
I’m so sorry you’re struggling. There are a lot of small businesses in my neighborhood. I really worry for them. We buy from them as much as possible, but there’s only so much they can do with curbside pickup, limited outdoor dining, and takeout. And people like to dismiss the nail salons, but many of those are small businesses too. They deserve to open as well. |
