S/O — who is the most famous person you’ve met?

Queen Elizabeth

No joke. I was a nanny for an extremely well connected and rich family and we had an audience with the Queen.

While in college I worked at a coffee shop in Georgetown that was very popular with people in congress and the media. I met too many to count but most were lousy tippers.

Meat Loaf.

I met Brad Pitt and J Lo when they came to the Capitol maybe ten years ago

I’ve met a lot of pols here in DC. Every president since HW. I also sat next to Reese Witherspoon at a movie once.
Most significantly though, I actually grew up in San Francisco and Pelosi was the class mom for my class at The Convent School in maybe fourth or fifth grade. She was also our neighbor so she’s probably the most famous person I’ve had significant content with but it was in a completely different role than her current one.

Jimmy Fallon was sitting at the table next to me at The Palm last summer.

How was Lauren Bacall? I've always been fascinated by her.

She was lovely: delightful and surprisingly self-effacing and funny. This was a private lecture and book signing. Got to have a conversation with her and I wasn’t really a fan.

I was at Veselka in NYC maybe 8 years ago and Jon Stewart walked out of the bathroom right in front of me.

Also, I was at Knickerbocker in NYC and Woody Allen was sitting a few tables away (though maybe he’s infamous).

My parents have run into a bunch of celebrities, living in the West Village. Susan Sarandon went to the same Equinox location as them on Greenwich Ave and Patricia Clarkson lived in our building.

Kenneth Branagh is great, he's done so many amazing productions & yet, everyone seems to remember him just for playing Prof. Lockhart in Harry Potter.

I had no idea that he directed a Thor movie until I saw the credits, a Marvel movie is HUGE.

He definitely doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Eddie Vedder - he and his wife & daughter were at the Ritz Carlton in Georgetown and my 2 year old daughter and I were sitting in the lobby waiting for my parents to come into town.

Eddie and a few of his bandmates went into the bar to have a meeting. His wife and daughter (who was the same age as my daughter) sat on the couches next to us, introduced and the girls just started playing together.

They played for about an hour and then Eddie came in and introduced himself (very cool, very down to earth albeit a little shy) and she asked if we'r were staying there and if we wanted to have a playdate the next day. Unfortunately we couldn't, but it was a very fun interaction for the whole family... including my daughter!

"You took the words right out of my mouth" is one of the most beautiful songs ever. Reminds me of first gf.

Angelina Jolie on a USO tour. She was polite but seemed a bit spaced out. Could have been jet lag. Also, she looks kind of strange in person, but I’ve heard that’s true of many screen actors/actresses.

Theater and Shakespeare are his real strengths, movie acting less so. One thing that doesn’t necessarily come across is that he is hilarious in person.

James Brown (the Godfather of Soul) when I worked security at the Ritz Carlton in DC. He invited me to take a limo ride with his wife.... I’m glad I said no
