It's great! I couldn't imagine being your avg dopey American guy stuck in a soul sucking relationship. Once this Corona virus blows over, I'll be hanging out with my beautiful Paisas in Medellin for a couple of months while my coworkers are at home running errands for their old hens.

Bitterness doesn't suit you.

Your beautiful Paisas will grow old too, it happens, what can you do.

It's surprising how many single and childless people are on a parenting forum

I'm 36, never married, mom of a 10yo. I've had two live-in SOs, including DC's dad. The other relationship was in my early 20s.

I have every weekend to myself as DC stays with dad then. Career-wise, things are good. With the exception of 2020, I probably date as often or more as my childless friends do. I still desire marriage even as I enjoy my life as is. My friends are a mixture of married women, single mothers, and single childless women. There's always someone around to meet up with.

I would probably be lonely without good friendships. Plus, hanging out with friends is how I tend to meet men.

Love Medellin. I actually had a pair of close friends finalize their divorces in February and they could not be more ecstatic, though the lack of dating is a bummer.

To add to this - why are they on DC urban MOMS and DADS at all?

Because this forum is great to get advice on relationships, fashion, diets, travel, entertainment etc. Just because we are single doesn’t mean we don’t do some or like some of the same exact things Moms/Dads do. And I’ve actually posted questions under the relationship section asking for feedback about dating or a relationship I was in and received great advice.

I read and respond on this forum to continually remind myself to never get married again.

Honestly, it seems like it would be awesome. Less responsibility, more money, more time to explore interests.

Probably was pretty f4cking awesome before Covid 19.
