Same as you! Make about the same, 2 kids, $2800 on my account today. |
Seems like a lot of people who shouldn’t be getting payments based on what is in the Act still are. |
| We got a deposit yesterday from the IRS for $7.90. Did anyone else get something like this? Seems ridiculous to bother with that amount-- I'm sure it cost more to process it. |
I got one for $39.50, which also seems pointless. Silly to send any payments, especially small ones, to high-income professionals who still have jobs. |
Is $210k your AGI or your income before 401k contributions? |
What's your salary? |
| Married filing jointly and we received two deposits. Trying to ascertain if an error or they send one payment per taxpayer. Did everyone else receive just a single deposit per family? |
Around 250K, and we have three kids. |
It would cost the gov't more money to manually stop your payment. |
More importantly, what is your AGI on your most recent tax return? |
Hey! And I thought we got a lot! 750$ filing jointly 2 kids and in 2018 we had less than 200K! |

Head of household (one child) with AGI 132K; was expecting about $700. Then saw that I had $1200 deposit in my bank account and thought they made a mistake. Turns out it was for my mother who died in August. I filed her 2019 return and so they had my direct deposit information from that. This is being reported by others so looks like they didn't eliminate those who died from the files, and they didn't realize it until after the deposits were made.
Since I owed money on my 2019 return, they didn't have my bank account connected to my payment. I will say that I went to their site and was easy to add my banking information so it can be sent via direct deposit versus by mail. Others haven't seemed to have as good luck with the site. Out of it all, just makes me wish my mom was here to tell this to! |
I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. |
