North’s Carolina Courage & UFA leave DA for ECNL

Anonymous
I don't care what DA parents have to say, ECNL in most of the country is the dominant league. This latest move with Charlotte moving to ECNL only makes a weak division much more competitive. McLean, Carolina Courage, NC Fusion, Richmond and an improving Loudoun will raise the level of play. PDA and FC Stars (former DA) make the ECNL NE one of the strongest divisions of any league.

There isn't any good competition in local ECNL either. Perhaps they can all move to CA.

lol. You really are a dolt. One area club has a recent national championship to it's credit, and better performance nationally than any local DA club.

I sincerely hope all of you people are on the ECNL and/or club payrolls.

The solemn allegiance of parents who’s daughters would be cut in a second for the next man up on these boards is hilarious!!

That's your answer? You produce a flawed assessment of the truth and when called out, you resort to this? Keep going, I can't wait to see what sort of nonsense you come up with next.

Here's some news for you, there are more than one people countering your nonsense. Your analysis is just as flawed if not moreso, and it's solely based on your daughter's club. Again, I hope they are paying you for this.

Can't you get your story straight? First it's, there's great competition locally and there's no need to travel because #Corona, now Charlotte and NCFC are your answers?

So basically, eliminate DA to recreate the same (travel even further for competition) dynamic in ECNL, except have half seasons with HS play. Sounds like a recipe for what had been done previously and has led to athletic, relatively unskilled national teams that are being caught and will soon be overtaken by the western European countries.

Great plan!

Not the OP...however....

Every time you write "LOL" I picture a goofy laugh with snorts.

Do you have a record you would like to put forth that demonstrates "steel sharpening steel"

If your kids team is 500 its because its great competition.
If the opposing team is 500 its because they suck
If your kids team has 90 percent wins its because they are superior.
If the opposing team has 90 percent wins its because they don't play anyone.

That's the type of person you are.

Anyone who has watched that McLean play knows that they are one of the best teams in the country. They have not lost a game this season and have been one of the top teams in the '02 age bracket since u16. I doubt they have lost more than s hand full of games since U15. I don't disagree that the ECNL MA region lacks the strength of several of the other ECNL leagues including the NE, SW, NW and TX conference but the team has also played the best teams in the country at showcases and national playoffs and competes well. When more than half the team has committed to elite DI programs, you have to acknowledge that the team is pretty solid.

Comments like this sure do get old, especially when the previous post captured your argument perfectly, in a sarcastic way
