Unless you have someone who does the job 3X as well. Talent costs.

Alexandria parent. This ED does not do the job 3X as well. Particularly on the girls side.

Not sure the boys side is better. Most kids looking to play college or pro leave by HS.

Not many. One kid who played in Alexandria until 14 or 15 is playing at JMU now. But he went to Bethesda DA through high school.

So don’t go there if you want to play in college?

Thats ridiculous. My kid is one of them. Currently in her 3rd year at D1 and she played exclusively at Alex. My second is in High school and is making his decisions right now on where to play. He too has played exclusively at Alex.

Try to have some sense of reason and insight rather than spout off about something you are just speculating about.

Are these players one-offs? Any place the club lists the alums?

Seems you have a particular interest in validating this club from a developmental standard. I'm curious, do you have this same interest in LMVSC, Gunston, Beach, SOCA, NVSC, Fredericksburg, DC Stoddert, Reston and so on?
How about any of the many DA programs? Do you question Metro United or ... ???

Why the fascination with one program and their ability or history in player development to the college level but not any concern about other programs?

I’m at FCV, we tweet about this all the time. Just seeing if other clubs do the same.

Many of the Alexandria players are claimed as other Clubs' 'own' when they leave at HS/teen age. Quite a few ended up at DC United Academy too. It's the classic develop players and other Clubs get them and claim them as their own. The question is how many of those big clubs players started and developed at the home club throughout their childhood. The answer is: very few. Check out DA rosters in the later years.

Curious, is that an accident of geography? Whenever it’s discussed about where to send your kid, everyone seems to say go to the closest club when the kids are young. At what age does one get the development that pushes the kid to the next level?
