Cohen is a preschool teacher who wants to be a Democratic politician. She’s no School Board member. All she has is childish behavior and rude comments. No way is she winning against Schultz, says this long time tax payer.

Meh. Elizabeth Schultz is literally the only School Board member willing to challenge other School Board members and staff on the extreme foolishness that characterizes most of FCPS’s recent initiatives. It’s critical that we retain a voice of dissent and/or reason and not elect another cookie-cutter Democrat who is just looking to join the echo chamber and get good press from Blue Virginia.

What is the relevant experience of Elizabeth Schultz? Doesn't look like she has any educational background.

Schultz has no real eduction background. Supports the GOP agenda without thinking for herself. Is okay with guns in the classroom. And by some accounts she is a real shrew. I’ve never met her but people who have did not care for her.

She's the only one on the Board with a lick of common sense. I don't care if she is a shrew. I met her once and talked to her about issues in the classroom (as a former teacher). I found her to be quite knowledgeable. Other than that one time, all I know about her is from watching School Board meetings. I don't agree with her on every issue, but she is better than the others. She appears to be the only one that is concerned about getting money in the right place. Wish I could vote for her.

There are a lot of issues where I disagree with Schultz, but she provides some balance on the School Board and I can honestly say she is more engaging one-on-one or in small group settings than when she is playing to a crowd.

I know nothing about Cohen that suggests she’d offer anything other than a reliable vote on the Board, which is a major reason why the D’s are backing her (along with their desire to eliminate a dissenting voice in Schultz). As a PP said, she comes across as a nice room parent but not necessarily even someone I’d want as a PTA president.

I’ve met her and find her knowledgeable on big-picture and future planning issues that we better get in front of now. She has solved problems at our school several times because FCPS wouldn’t do it. She understands that she represents those who voted for her. She’s reasonable and makes her colleagues follow their own rules and it often makes them mad. That’s why we voted for these people

She started working on the problems of Clifton Elementary School and from there, she’s become an expert on educational policy in FCPS. She has lived here her whole life and she has the background.

She does NOT support the GOP agenda blindly so stop lying. She does NOT support guns in the classroom either, fool. She suggested that all options be considered which is not saying she wants guns in the classrooms.

You’ve never met her so you are really clueless and you have nothing to add. Shame on you for name calling and spreading rumors.

Laura Jane Cohen is nice as long as you have something she wants. As soon as she’s gotten what she can, she will discard you.
