what would you do if a nurse patted your child on the butt

I wouldn’t like it but it doesn’t seem like a big deal. I mean you were right there.

My BIL tickles my daughter and holds her upside down and thinks it is funny. I don’t like that either.

Patting on the butt in baseball IS weird.

Agree totally. What is up with all this butt slapping/taping?

I would immediately make a formal complaint and report them. That's inappropriate. It's never ok.

Why did you resurrect an EIGHT YEAR OLD thread?

I know this is an old thread, but for those reading, this could definitely be read as grooming- starting as small but inappropriate touches in front of the parent, etc. Darkly, a pediatric nurse would be a great access point.

Yeah, let's pick on a male nurse.

I would report it immediately.

Predators often take "helping" jobs to for easy access to children and vulnerable.

Yeah, no with all the excuse making in the comments. The “ha ha made you look” game is a tap on the shoulder, not on a child’s butt.

Follow your instincts and report, PP. If the drs/practice manager share the PPs’ opinion that it’s “OMG NO BIG DEAL,” then nothing will happen to the nurse.
