.

Agree. The Huffington Post voted it the best cake in America. The original cake you can get if you walk into the bakery contains custard. The mail order version does not. Of course the original is the best.

I just attended a birthday party in Pittsburgh yesterday where a Bethel Bakery Bakery cake was served. I'm from Pittsburgh. I love their icing, because it is not too sweet.

Mine was a random chocolate cake at a random diner during a road trip. I usually don't like choclate cake because I don't like dry/crumbly cake but this one was so moist and amazing. I feel like it's so hard to find desserts that are excellent these days!

My wedding cake at The Willard. It was amazing.

I had a hazelnut cake in Italy that was incredible.

Toojays is a deli in Florida and they sell banana dream cake - sooo good!! The Yellow cake tastes of creamy and banana-y goodness with chocolate chips inside - the chocolate fudge icing is topped with walnuts. I wish they had mail order.

Toojays in FL killer chocolate cake! Good to know it is still there. It opened in Tenlytown for a while but became another deli.

The Majestic in Old Town has a killer coconut cake. You can buy it by the slice at Society Fair.

I also LOVE the raspberry lemon cake from Swiss Bakery but some of their others come out dry.

Taipan bakery swiss roll like above but sesame flavor

Guava cake from Aki's in San Jose (now closed) or guava cakes from Kauai. I also love white cakes with fresh fruit and whipped cream frosting from Korean bakeries.
