What a hateful thing to say.

Why don't you direct your pearl clutching at these two racist clowns. Your sanctimony is showing.

No pearl clutching here. Just calling out pp’s bias, stereotyping, and well, racism.
What exactly is racist about two white girls wearing MAGA clothing on Howard’s campus?
If anything, the students who said hateful things to them were the racist ones.

Either you're intentionally obtuse or just not bright. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say the former. Regardless, these girls were intentionally baiting Howard students and deserve all of the ridicule they're getting.

If "bright" college aged men and women can get easily "baited" by 16 year old girls for wearing a MAGA hat, and this causes them to steal and insult/intimidate these girls then our future is not looking bright. Why are we allowing everyone to be outraged at every little thing all the time? Not everything has a deeper meaning

It's almost impossible for you to understand that Trump said there were "very fine people on both sides" regarding those in attendance at a white nationalist march, after two days of not explicitly condemning white supremacists for running over and killing a protestor and injuring 19 others. This after a history of incindiary racial comments like "Mexican rapist". He also had Steve Bannon as chief of staff who wrote a section called Black crime in his magazine. It's the history of it all that's so troubling. Do you understand that? What are you not getting?

It's clueless (or possibly even malevolent) rubes from shitty, flyover towns glibly coming in to a multiracial city wearing stupid ass maga gear at an hbu to show support for a president who is a complete and total moron, and who said there are "fine" white nationalists. Do you get it? Are you that fucking stupid? Seriously? Or are you a Russian troll?

Love the misquotes! Yea it isnt hard for me to understand that you will not be satisfied with anything this man says. Btw did you watch his speeches on Charlottesville all the way through or just what the media reported on? Cause if you did you would think he did a good job at condemning the violence. He called the driver despicable too so not sure what your saying is true at all. Look, you are the people who cried racist. It came during the campaign, it is still coming now, no one is buying what you are selling. Again, college aged adults should know better than to let these things so infuriate them that they have to act out. Self control is important

When I took a class at UDC I spotted 2-3 of the faculty in the Ed. Department wearing Obama hats and had Obama posters in their cubicles, presumably breaking the law. I didn't report it, but I raised an eyebrow internally. As private citizens wear the hat you want where you want.

DP. Why is that a hateful thing to say? College isn't for everyone. Besides, aren't college campuses just indoctrination sites for liberal groupthink? Good for them for not going to college.

Yes, don't go to college. Maga.

That photograph will follow those stupid girls for the rest of their lives and will cause them to lose jobs.

Wow. Talk about snowflakes.

It's a broad definition, dumb person.

Exactly.

Has anyone mentioned that Howard is a historically black college? Why didn't the girls go somewhere else if it isn't about race?

As mentioned in another her thread, after Charlottesville, anyone wearing MAGA gear is going to be seen as a white supremacist. It is equal to wearing KKK garbage. So it's not surprising that white girls going to an HBU would be seeing as antagonizing people by wearing MAGA gear to HU. Out of respect to the f students of the university they were visiting, they should've kept her hat in her luggage or taking them off. Shame on the chaperones for not providing guidance to the girls.

Give me a break. This is the kind of stupid false equivalence that gives Trumpkins the reputation they apparently deserve. There's no equivalence showing up at UDC with an Obama hat .... Now showing up at UDC with a MAGA hat highlighting the words that are dog whistles for "Make America White Again" and propagated by a man who is a bigoted racist is quite difference. You might not realize this, but I suspect you do and are just being obtuse.

And your view says a lot about you. None of it good. I hope you find some time to reexamine yourself and find some empathy (and a bit more smarts).

My views? That individuals should be able to walk around wearing clothing of their choice without being assaulted?

Um, flicking someone's hat off isn't assault. But okay, snowflake.

It is still intentional and unwanted contact, which amounts to assault and battery. I am not supporting the action of the girls, though it's well recognized in this country that people can do what they want provided that they are not infringing on the rights of others to do the same. You can show your intense disagreement with what the girls represent, without resorting to physical contact.
